I'm trying to find a place to buy/order online Hot Grips Model 123 in Edmonton.
The left grip on my 04 Summit has burnt out, and from what I've read the Hot Grips Model 123 is the best replacement instead of OEM. Unfortunately the Hot Grips website will not ship to Canada, and I'm having...
We don't use Bailey Bridges anymore in the Army. We use Medium Girder Bridges for temporary support crossings, which are not suitable for long-term bridges. For Line of Communication crossings, we use ACROW bridges, which is sort of a modern Bailey bridge. I know a lot of crossings were built...
Yeah, I was surprised to see him at the gas drop so soon afterwards. I would have spent 2 hours in that cabin drying off. He was soaked to his knees, and soaked both his arms trying to pull his skies out.
On a side note, funny it happened to that guy, he was being an idiot on the hills...
Yeah, the signs were pretty much completely buried, they're right beside the hut at the gas drop. I only know cause I've been there when there wasn't a ridiculous awesome amount of snow.
Funny you mention holes, I helped pull a guy out who put his sled into the creek. Sled was in water that...
The signs were pretty much buried in snow. Maybe thats why they also didn't drop their gas cans off at the drop?
I was up there on Sat as well, it was spectacular.
I'm across the road with the engineers. I was rolling on tracks last year for a bit, all fun until you throw track 3 times in day.
Crappy deal with your sled though, I bought a used 04 Summit in December. Its been great, except for a stump that broke my bumper...
Just curious, what sort of armoured vehicles do you wrench?
Back to the point of this thread, its a pretty crappy deal for everyone involved in something like this. I'm just glad I've had no problems with the used sled I bought.
Good luck.
Hey all
I'm new-ish to sledding. I've been a few times before, but just bought my first sled a few weeks ago and christened it on Vancouver Island where I grew up.
I live in Edmonton and hopefully will find some sledding buddies out there.
I've been on this site for over a month now, and it...
Thats too bad, I live in Edmonton, but brought my sled with me to the Island for Christmas. Today was just an amazing day around Washington. Great snow, blue skies and sun.
So I think I'm down to a 05 M7 w/ 1200 miles or KM on it. But I've got a couple questions first if anyone can help me out:
1. I was under the impression that all Arctic Cat odometers are in miles, but the speedo is in Km/H, any input?
2. The exhaust, after running the sled for a bit, had...
Thanks for all the advice, I'm still on the hunt. I agree though, people generally are asking way too much for used sleds, especially ones that have obviously been rat-bagged. The prices I listed are what I've been able to talk/email down the guys.
I checked out a 05 M7 w/ 2300 miles on her...
I'm looking at buying a used sled. Right now my options are:
1. 04 Summit 800 HO X w/ 4600km on it - $5000
2. 05 M7 w/ 1700km on it - $5000
3. 03 Summit 800 HO w/ 1800km on a rebuild - $4000
4. 03 Vertical Escape 800 w/ 100km on a rebuild - $4000
I'm looking for some feedback on these...
