I'll have to do a range test with the gt-3tp and the A-19 to see for myself. I got this antenna to go with the A-19 since it has a max watt of 20 watts unlike the Nagoya Na-771 which is rated for 10 watts.
I was testing a couple of my radios for power output. Baofeng GT-3TP radio and a Zastone A19.

Re: Everything BaoFeng & VHF Radios
When I ordered my radios I just got the cheap Baofeng mics. They work pretty good. Then I ordered a couple Bridgecom mics. They are louder and clearer but more expensive. These ones on ebay look identical and are cheaper. I believe X-it said they work...
X-it are you using the antenna that came with the Zastone A-19 or a different one? And what kind of a mic connection is it? Same as the 2 prong Baofeng or is it a multi pin type connection?
How many kms on the engine? Also do you have the oil line update kit installed? Pretty important update. Chrisco can line you up with any aftermarket parts you need

Here is a link to some instructions how to program radios via CHIRP.

Re: Everything BaoFeng & VHF Radios
I've communicated with people using BC Link radios a fair distance away in the mountains surrounded by trees. Our radios with higher wattage and better antennas make a difference talking to lower watt radios.
People will still insist on buying BC link...
Great input. I will see what they say if they do decide what frequency. I have a feeling that if they do designate a channel it might be a UHF (FRS or GMRS) channel so that people with the family walkie talkies or the BC link radios can tune into that frequency. The nice thing about our dual...
I use GT-3TP and they have been pretty good so far over the last 3 years. They are an 8 watt radio on high setting and are water resistant. The antennas that come with them are pretty decent but the Nagoya NA-771 are better. I got these from http://Baofengtech.com I got my radios off of ebay for...
Hi Skegpro. I have a bit of advice on programming. Only share a CSV file and not an image file. Image files can only be imported to a radio with the same firmware as the radio it came from. For example, if you use CHIRP and save your image from a UV-82hp and try to load it onto a UV-5R you could...
