you need to take the cover off and check it out, the belt may be warn and the pieces may be wrapping up in the clutch and making it stick. Making engagement hesitate witch would give you these issues. If that is the case you need a new belt

I ran one of these in my 76 jimmy years back. It worked fine for awhile then started to slip with my 35" tires so I ended up welding it. Should be fine for a quad or side by as there is not as much weight or tire size to compete with, good luck and have so fun

I was there today and there are some reclaimed roads and pits and some trails closed also. Looks like more logging is going on and new roads put in and camping in some spots taken away. Fences have been put in also to keep the trucks out.
