Loving it so far. Its a smooth and comfy vehicle, has pretty decent power, nice interior layout. I do find the throttle can be a bit touchy at slow speeds in "normal" mode but I put it to "eco" and it softened it up a bit. It still hauls the mail pretty good in eco. I've only tried it once...
So if these 850s aren’t getting the same mileage compared to a 800 etec. What’s the reason? Is it lower quality materials? Different tolerances? Nature of the beast’s design? Both are great engines IMO, I spent a couple days the other week in revy on a 2020 NA 850 and a 2022 turbo freeride. I...
They are pretty sweet from the reading I've done. Sounds like they put down some impressive fuel economy numbers while still having respectable power. I would've loved to get one for those reasons alone, they're just not in my budget at the moment.
So far its been good, had one minor issue with the adaptive cruise control. I looked into it and it seems that its a common electrical glitch, shutting the car off and restarting cured it. Other than that its super comfy, its a bit thirstier on fuel in town but out on the highway in eco mode...
I went into Forgetmenot years ago, that was a fun day of riding and exploring. Some massive country up that way. I’d love to go back for an early spring ride when I get another sled down the road. I have pics of it somewhere buried on my laptop.
Anyone else find it kind of funny that they’re pretty much ditching the tmotion suspension and flex edge track on the expert but still calling it tmotion?
The new sleds look great. Good on doo bringing more refinements and improvements to their sleds.
After some looking around and checking them out. We found a clean 2018 VW Atlas R Line at Sherwood VW. As much as I’d like to have a bigger suv like a Yukon or expedition, I think this one will be a good fit for the wife. Plus it should be fairly decent on fuel compared to a V8. Plus from the...
As for a truck, if you can swing it, get into a single axle pete, kenworth, freightliner etc. Just about every 5500/F550 sized truck with a HD service body on it is overloaded by the time you get tools, rigging and such on it. Doesn't leave much room if you have to haul parts out to a job...
Talking to various vendors in my industry (heavy equipment), everyone is backlogged with work and crying to find decent techs, welders, machinists, labourers etc. I know for myself trying to find a tech has been tricky, pretty much everyone telling me that its a 1-2 week wait unless theres a...
For reference my dad's 2014 F150 ecoboost has 220k on it, all he's done is basic maintenance and I believe a rear main seal that was done under warranty. Its still running strong with no signs of giving up. I put in a set of NGK ruthenium plugs and that made a noticeable improvement in power...
I may consider that size, I'd just like to have the extra room for trips to the lake, etc. Seems more often than not, she needs all the room she can get between our little guy, her work and our dogs. I'd love to pick up a 3.0 duramax yukon but its just not in our budget at the moment. Seems...
