I did exactly what you were planning to do. Converted the from heat exchanger into a dedicated cooler for the WTA intercooler, I sourced most parts from frozenboost including the bosch pump and a barrel style intercooler/lines. May not have been the best intercooler choice but.... I did not...
I found if I had my rear suspension spring on the softest setting it lower the rear of the sled a little, catches more snow into the tunnel. Crank it back up once you off the trail.
Rule of thumb I always used and sold my turbo sleds for was take the price paid for the Stock sled initially. After 1 year, thats what the sled is worth will the Turbo added...... obviously depends on how much you added but thats what I go by.
I just bought a T3 174 with 820 kms. The $12,000 prediction is a little high.... its happening now, for less. Some excellent deals out there if your willing to fish and have cash.
I am no turbo etec expert but mid 11 with the etec, seems a bit low to me. Mine ran like crap at 11.5 and really woke up at 12.3-5. In the 11's it would gurgle and shudder and wouldn't pull rpm. This was not a instaboost kit. It was a silber but for what it's worth....
I'm pretty sure low/mid...
I put 500 Miles on my Silber Kit and it worked pretty well. I paid 3K for the kit brand new, put a better blowoff valve in and a water to air intercooler, different boost gauge, which put me at 3600 dollars. Changed the MAP Sensor location. The clutching that comes with it isnt the best so...
Check out the xm forum. I can't pinpoint the thread name but I'm almost certain someone else had this same problem. Don't quote me on it but I seem to remember it being the high/low headlight switch. Did you try disconnecting the blowhole? I thought I saw you installed one.
Anyone else notice that when you build the sled on skidoo site the summary says the track is "non-ported"??
In the sled release the porting was mentioned as a weight savings or is the porting just in the 174 and the 163 is non ported?
I have the same kit. Had some issues initially with the sled but have that fixed now. I was experiencing the same problems as you. Stocker was kicking my Ass. Barely pulled 58 - 60 kph with the 21 tooth. Stocker pulled 67. Same hill. Same rider. Went back down to the 19 tooth. I am much...
I got the Reflash and am now regretting it. Sled was. Awsome before the reflash now it doesn't run worth a ****. The dealer convinced me it was a good idea. Crap. Its back at the dealer now for burnt out hand warmers and I burnt 4 litres of oil in 250 kms and double the fuel as everyone else.
No. Its not mesh. Its solid so won't help with cooling. Had to relocate the air intakes. I did add vent kit to get rid of the heat. It definately won't be hotter than stock under the hood
Ha. Production hey. Would love too but probably won't happen.
The lower air box is still there. I ran some very light aluminum piping (1 lb) to each side of the sled with prefilter and connected to the stock air horn. Not sure how it will work but its what I got for now. I am fairly...
