I wasn't aware of MBRP making y-pipes but I had one of their cans on my 13 pro.... In my opinion they are poorly made. Horrible overlaps where the sections were welded together.
The sound was ok, but I noticed poor throttle response compared to stock or SLP can.
LOTS of heat usually makes the difference for me, but when they are really stubborn I put the clutch in the freezer for a day and then quickly heat the screws... This usually gets it first try.
Once I had to drill the screw heads, if you don't go too deep with the drill and get the helix off...
I highly recommend against running a QD belt to failure.
-when they strip out, alot of melted plastic may need to be carefully cleaned out of the drive wheels before putting a new belt on. Not easy to do out in the bush, and it's easy to scratch and damage the wheels.
-when it fails, you will...
I had my pump turned up inside of 10 minutes. All I removed was the hood.
However you do it.... be sure to brace the bracket as you break the lock nut loose. Otherwise it's possible to bend the bracket and cause problems.
In the last 10 years I have tried or watched my riding partners try almost every brand and style of snowmobile venting. The reality is that they don't flow any air... they only radiate a little heat.
Back in the day, my 06 900RMK was literally more vent than hood/panels.... With an infrared temp...
Welcome to the Polaris section adamg ... stick around you might learn a thing or two lol.
My RMK 163 e - start snowcheck arrived at my dealer last Wednesday (6 days after my Polaris hq shipment email). This was the last shipment of snowchecks my dealer was waiting for.
My salesman was pretty...
Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I remember the spec was .030" freeplay on the lever.
TSS problems can usually be diagnosed by disconnecting it and see if the problem remains.
Just to be clear....
When you push the button, there is no reaction and the sled continues to idle normally?
In this case, it's usually a throttle lever free play, or throttle safety switch problem, or the idle speed is too high.
It's possible a faulty TPS could cause this but I would expect...
Been a few years but the last place I used was Automotive Machine Services in the city. (After a horrifying experience with mountain magic and whoever they farm this work out to)
I was happy with AMS's work they cleaned the mounting taper and balanced for me
Yup mine is surely a late delivery. Although from what I've been told, the options I picked put it closer to the end of the production run (163, LE, estart)
Had I not wrecked my knee, I'd likely be pissed because it could possibly delay my first trip (depending on snow arrival)
Think of it this way....
-most people buying Polaris 800 sleds are aware of the OEM piston clearance issue.
-if I'm looking for a used 800 Polaris next year, I will chose one with a mtntk kit in it over anything else.
-I would possibly even pay a little more for a sled with a mtntk kit over...
Finally got my shipment email from Polaris HQ on Friday. This is the last shipment my dealer is waiting for.
Should have my sled by the middle of oct, although I'm no longer in a rush... Had a bad dirt bike crash, severed right knee acl and a small fracture where it attaches. Hopefully good...
I put on 2000 hard mountain miles on my mtntk fix kit before my 13 pro was stolen. Compression test, and exhaust port inspection @ about 1600 miles were perfect.
From day one after installation the engine ran smoother, stronger, and mechanically quieter. The bastard who stole my sled will have a...
I hope this thread is allowed.
I will be at the show tonight, and have a new set of black 2013 Pro side panels for sale or trade.
I can be reached by PM here, or email pre.mix@live.com

Chris, I plan to grab a few goodies from you at the sled show. Will you have chains and sprockets on hand? Will be looking for 19/45 or 46 combo with chain.
I`m waiting for a 163 Standard 800 RMK 60th
Anyone get "the phone call" yet?? I'm getting jealous of my skidoo buddies who are getting their snowchecks next week!
