After two years of riding my '07 M8, I've gotten extremely tired of a sled with no discernable rear suspension travel. I've not been able to get any help/ideas/fixes from my local dealer either.
So, I'm looking at ordering a Timbersled Mountain Tamer rear suspension kit (Click Here). Does...
I got a notice on an ECU reflash and had the dealer do it yesterday. While I was there there was another recall for a CCU something or other.
Anyone else get this done yet?
It's quite similar to Clemina and much smaller. It's got three smallish bowl areas and it can be tough to get past the first bowl if the weather's bad. It's a great area though with a good mix of boondocking and hillclimbing. The hills aren't huge though and 4 sleds can beat the whole area up in...
I haven't heard that one, what's the source? I have found that an M8 runs great upside down, but I don't imagine too much oil gets injected.;)
I've never burned even close to half a tank of oil in one ride, so I'm not concerned.
I think the point here is that there has to be some value received for the trail pass fee. I rode both Allen and Clemina on the weekend and felt the trail pass was worth it. I do ride responsibly, I don't spin the trail up and beat it to hell, and I pack my own garbage out. I never use the...
LOL, true, but.............
I wouldn't go over 5k for it personally, due to the track length and engine size.
Note: I'm cheap and have no idea of the real market value.;)
Years ago when I lived in Fort Smith we rode across to the east side of the Slave River to go ice fishing. We drilled a hole about 100m from where a pair of bald eagles had their nest. They watched us closely and we kept our eyes on them in case they were real hungry.
We caught a little jack...
I considered a Digitron, but I'm cheap and it's not hard to check the plugs. Obviously, EGT's would be easier but not strictly necessary.
I certainly understand your desire to keep it one piece.
I ran a Vari-flow on my piped 700 Mountain Max for 5 years without anything more than checking the plugs. Mind you, I wasn't trying to tune it to a razor's edge either.
KLM and I are heading up on the 28th to ride Sat/Sun/Mon. I'm looking forward to hearing the reports from this weekend.
Finally got my sled out and thought I better check in here for the first time this year. I put a 4 inch riser and lefty throttle on my M8, we'll see how they work out!:specool:
