Re: Who makes the best Googles
Picked up some Zeal Slate goggles last year at the sled show. I went with the photochromatic lenses. Best goggle I've ever worn by a mile. Great anti fog and I never change lens regardless of conditions

Not sure how many sets in total but if you read the article about making this video, they filmed the opening scene burnout last and shot the tires right off her... I'd say a lot of tires were harmed in the making of this video, but I guess you can do that when Pirelli names a tire compound after...
I had a Globalstar sat phone last weekend in Revelstoke that I was testing out with the intention of purchasing later. I was not able to make a connection at any time throughout the 3 days of riding and trying it in a bunch of different spots. I was pretty disappointed with it. I don't have any...
I agree 100% and I personally save the beers for the hotel (mainly because I'm too out of shape to even consider drinking beer instead of water on the mountain) but you cant possibly believe that this is a new phenomenon. Every story my father ever tells from the 60's starts with "so we loaded...
I would agree with the above. A lot of people ride in that area during times of high avalanche risk/low visibility due to the great tree riding in the area as we were at the time of the incident. Avoiding Shaede lane in times of high avalanche conditions is not the lesson to learn from this...
I know what you mean. I was starting to get cocky this year with the hero snow. I was quickly humbled on Saturday with the bottomless pow on boulder

I don't think you can paint every novice rider that buys a new sled with the same brush. Fact is that if you could have done it when you started out, you would have too. We all would.
It's just life really, there are D-bags at every corner, it's always been the same and it's never going to...
It was near the back of Shaede Lane. We came out of the trees and saw search and rescue interviewing some witnesses. Didn't stick around to find out any more as things looked to be under control.
Condolences to the family

Buddy got a call back from the dealer today. As it turns out, the cylinders are not ported to drain the oil off as they are supposed to be. they are thinking either they are ptek cylinders that were installed by mistake or they just weren't drilled as spec'd. Either way, that is one of the...
it seems to run fine and doesn't throw any codes. Rode it back to back against my 13 and didn't notice any difference. Its at the dealer now but they don't seem to know what it could be.
Buddy's 14 was leaking oil out of the rave valve oil lines on the first ride. Took it to the dealer and they replaced a hose. Took it out this weekend and it was still leaking so we tightened the clamp on the hose to stop the leak. Took the sled for a short rip and the oil hose on the left side...
Boulder had tons of untouched today. But it's set up like concrete. Awesome fun in the sun though. Can't believe how quiet it was up there today. Absolutely gorgeous weather.

FYI, brought it in and dealer found that the TPS was way out of whack, reading -10 at idle. Will be in the mountains to check things out next weekend

No engine light, exhaust probe tight and hood never been off. Will the engine light come on with any code or should I take it to the dealer for a checkup?

My group had no trouble finding me in the treeline or alpine yesterday because I was leaving a nice trail of brown snow everywhere I went. It would sputter when I pinned it from idle also. Seemed fine once down in the trees.
Engine is stock 2013 with about 600km
We we're riding boulder in Revy...
