Turbo 100%. I spent all last year on a turbo and I will never go back. It's not a MNTEK, but a BD, but they run amazing on pump gas with the AXYS and no they are not just for hill climbing. These set ups work amazing in the trees as well. Anyone that tells you differently has never ridden a 6LB...
I would also add weight to the clutch. Likely have almond spring with 68 grams in now, so try going up to 72s so you aren't over revving. The boost has a low limit so it won't drop down low enough at lower elevations for the clutching that comes with.
Not considered at sea level. The boost only goes as low as ~4.5 lbs, and I believe it is there around 4-5k ft. So if you are full pin at lower elevations on pump fuel you will have DET and it will over rev. As you climb in elevation from 4-5k ft and up you gain boost to hold the HP level.
Great questions.. and I sure hope they are testing it for a bigger motor. Personally I never had issues with the 163 3", it was much better on the trail than my13 as well.
So you have the 2015 Pro correct? 40:21 stock gearing and you went to the 43:19.
I have the 16 Axys 3" chain which I believe is geared to low for a turbo. I want to see if guys are gearing it up rather than down, to get some more track speed.
Same question as in other thread, any gear changes done on the chain drive models to get better track speed with the turbo? Stock final is 2.52 (44:19), have you moved to a 2.34 final (43:20)??
DragonWeld, any gear changes done on the 174 to get better track speed with the turbo? Stock final is 2.52 (44:19), have you moved to a 2.34 final (43:20)??
makes perfect sense.. all the Americans are coming up here and scoping up all the great new/used deals.. ****s us over in Canada when looking for a diesel truck. Used prices are insane if you are a Canadian trying to buy..
I live there for 2 years back when the O&G industry was healthy (2010 and 2011).. IMHO it is a very run down town (city). There is nothing exciting around there to do, bars and trouble are pretty much your only bet. As mentioned, the Tim Hortons and McDonald's drive thru's are the busiest I have...
If the wheels are poking through near the middle of the track (image stolen from Teth-Air's post) then yes this type of damage has been warrantied. Find a new dealer if they are declining before even checking with Polaris.
