I was in your shoes too but put way more km on at home around Whitecourt than on mountain trips.... 4600 km on my '13 Summit in two seasons. Decided to keep the summit and bought a very slightly used 2012 freeride 137 x 2-1/4" for around home. The freeride is a hoot - hard to wipe the smile off...
It's sad to see Tony performing so poorly. He's a great driver but I think you may have nailed it... loosing his nerve a bit. He's had a couple tragic events that are really affecting him.
I of course was cheering for Harvick but ended up with Logano, Truex, and Gordon after three $20 picks in our Daytona pool.... so I'm OK with his win. $800 in my jeans!!!!
Thanks Tyler. Lots of planning and a rediculous number of volunteer hours made it happen. Last night's show was awesome. Those guys put on a great performance.
There are passes available at IGA. The trails are pretty wooped out but I'm sure the groomers will be out in the next few days. The trail from eagle river staging area towards the Gundy cabin was not used as a rally route so it should still be in good condition.
A huge thanks to all of the sponsors, vendors, coordinators, club members, volunteers, and attendees for creating such a successful event. It was a great time!
Conditions are great and the weather looks like it's going to cooperate too. Lots of great entertainment and great riding for the next five days people. Come out and visit us in Whitecourt.
The clubs annual Media Ride was yesterday and I was very surprised at the good condition the trails were in after the recent spring like conditions. Off trail snow has a fairly heavy crust on it or if already ridden on, it's rock hard. We only received about an inch of the four that was...
8 of us went from the Athabasca River west of Whitecourt on the Manweiller trail to Gundy cabin clearing trail yesterday. Lots of willows and leaners again. 7 hours to clear 25km of trail that was already cleaned this fall.... Now ready for the groomer.
