Well it sounds like the caribou lovers are back at it. I got some info from a inside source, sound like there are maybe plans for more closures in the area. Bayonne lakes and Arkansas lake area. Just great.
Yes the shocks to play a part but the swaybar does have some twisting going on too. The newer ones are suppose to be lighter for this action. This is just what I have been told by a mechanic the other week. It does make sense, my old race car I had I could get stiff bars or lighter for it.
What is your riding? Here we are booning in the trees with climbs and hill climbs but all in big mts. 154s we are running 20/51 gearing but you need clutching too.
I would not bother or unless if you are riding trails all day than get it or if you got the 36 front end kit in. But the 08 sway bar is way to stiff, I'd get a newer one.
I don't have a 860 still a 800 but I use to overheat lots too. A few things that I did was the engine tech tstat, used propylene glycol as to ethylene ( prop will drop a few deg. But does not last as long), and added some cool aid. I now rarely over heat now, the trail needs to be pretty hard...
Those pod filters can be hit an miss, I'd first rich up your needles and if that still not doing it put the stock intake back on. Pods don't have the air volume like the box does. I'll try to find this posting on pod filters on the net awhile ago, think it was on doo talk maybe. It was a really...
With those reading duch your mains sound like your in the perfect safe zone, if you hitting over 1250 or past 1300 in the mid might want to try shimming the needles
Duch do you have etg's? If so what temps you hitting in mid and full out. It does sound like you need to Jet up, those jets you got in there you must be running pretty lean. How's the plugs?
What year was that cat you tried out? There are lots of thing you can do to your xp pending what you like to spend on it. Also what is your type of riding style?
The ds2 feel like you have a easy steer kit on, the 6.9 fights you when your countersteering they want to pull straight. Had the 6.9 on my newest xp they lasted 3 rides went to the ds2, my other xp has slydogs alittle more heavier steer but not near like the 6.9. I feel it's that little outer...
All the air vents that I have done on the r's all have been on the lower box. The very first one was 2 2 1/4 holes in the box, with no rejetting we saw over 1300 on the etg's. After rejet 500 mains and needle shims around low 1200 and a few extra hp and no bogging in the powder. A bunch others...
Any of these air intake mods you should be re jetting and adding shims, more air = leaner, they are lean enough in the mid range already. Adding just extra air you will start seeing over 1300 on etgs, pending on the size air vents.
What is your set up so far.
I'm looking for people to ride with in the areas. I moved to salmo over a year ago, was too busy building my new place. So I did not get to ride as much as I would have liked for last season. Places i've ridin' would be Barrett LK, Beaver mt, Ladybird, Meadow, bit up porky,Nun and monk lakes...
