Next weekend I am putting the sleds away for the season.
What is the Good news for this year?
I got to ride 3 times instead of only once last year
Fuel costs are way down as I did not go to mountains or put on over 1000 kms
My sleds ran all year
No roadside break downs pulling trailer
My liver...
I installed the fixkit on my '10 Dragon. 3000kms later of mountains and flat landing, I sold it to a kid that is still riding it. I like bashing Doo's, but this is a bit early to pull out the baby seal hunting kits.
Down there is a pretty big area, just saying.
In California where there is a huge population and not much area to free ride, the permits, parks and population controls exists.
Other areas of the US maybe different.
This may throw gas on the fire, so here is my Sunday morning rant, but... consider this as a thought.
In the US, the population is 10 times what it is in Canada, with 20 times more ATV's in areas that is 100 times less than what we have in Canada.
How they came to terms with the Governments and...
Check out the local Riding Clubs for the areas you want to ride.
Being that we have lots of new riders heading out to the hills, there have been a few things changes since you were out there last. Including a lot more incidents where riders are getting hurt, lost and killed.
If you go the...
I had a wreck walking across some ice a couple years ago, nearly tore my MCL. I was on crutches for a couple days until I learned how not to go down stairs with crutches. Added another 10 days to my healing. Never been on crutches before, hope I never have to again. Heal fast!
Riverside is/was blowing out new 2015 Yammy Vipers for $7000 + tax. If you are a Yammy fan, that would been the green light to buy one finally.
When it comes to selling sleds in January, bad economy, higher taxes, low snow on the flat lands (again), ya gotta be like we Oilers fans used to say...
Since it a waste of cash to buy a new sled for flat land riding for the last few years, I have been looking at the old sleds.
Polaris XLT 10, Blizzards, MX's, old Yammy Vipers, SRX and Exciters...
There seems to be a resurgence of a quite a few units out there to buy. And not being shy about the...
Oh c'mon Big Jay, not all Poopoo rides are that sensitive. Shucks some of us will even wait for the Doo riders to catch up and offer kind words of encouragement!
:cheering:
I own a '14 Cross Roads 8 Ball (means no chrome, all black).
Indian's past has been dotted with financial closures and discontinuations.
Victory has some tough completion with the HD and the metric cruisers.
They will be back some day, just like Indian.
I have often wondered about that area for sledding. When I lived in Drayton, we used to head south towards Rocky and was always able to find some snow there.
I can't attend, but the invitation sounds interesting for the future.
Thanks for the invite.
Finally!! I have went on my first decent flat land ride yesterday after a nearly 2 year hiatus. The crappy snow conditions have ended at least in the Ft Mac area.
I have my 600 nearly rebuilt to brand new with lots of new parts, including a new top end after 6600 kms. It felt good to get back on...
Yeah I am thinking that the whole separate society thing was a bad idea when the soldiers that fought and beat the native tribes a few hundred years ago.
They were far from being social engineers and needed a quick plan to put all the Indians in a prison and a way to have them look after...
