I used Klim Adrenaline last season and very happy with their performance. Warm and DRY. The only issue, is that I should have done that years ago.
I tried the Stomper2 but didn't like the fit, to me it seemed like a big work boot (each to their own).
Also some have complained that the soles wear...
always interesting to see new products. Not really looking for anything specific, but it seems I find something to buy. Also my S&M hoodie is worn out.
Oops, well I stand corrected, guess never looked close enough according to recent comments. The ones I have look very similar and work pretty good. They roll over misc debris without getting stuck or sled sliding off. So you guys made me go look in the garage, and I notice mine have bigger...
I use TD Insurance, full coverage. app $360.
But I pay for the basic liabilty, fire, theft, app $200/year. Then when riding season starts, I kick in the collision for the remainder of the policy.(+ $160). A lot of the policies have the seasonal rate adjustment, (like Nov-April). If you're...
Don't know about that, but you sure get a lot of looks when pulling into a crowd in Revy. A few years back, I sold this 98 to a buddy of mine and it's still going strong. The old girl's been in a lot of places. I jumped on it a couple times last year, but nope, sorry, I prefer my Pro.
Here's our 08 Searay Sport 175. Has the 3L engine. For this size boat it works great. Do some tubing, skiing, fishing, very fun boat. Purchased it NEW down in Montana late in 2009. Sometimes I wonder why we have it considering our short season, but when a guy does get out, it sure is fun. :D...
On my last boat, I had a Humminbird Piranha fish finder. It's a $100, black and white screen, temp, and worked great for years.. On my new boat, I did not want to drill holes in a perfectly good boat, so I was just using the digital depth marker gauge that came from the factory. This only showed...
Not sure what kind of riding you're looking for, but you may want to check out Crowsnest / Corbin / Fernie. The closest being the Atlas staging area, about a 2hr drive from Calgary. We just spent 3 days riding down there and conditions were good for this time of year.
Frick, I'm a slow typer. Might as well delete my post since almost saying the same thing as Modman....good points.
Only thing to add, is at the beginning of next season, I siphon the stabil gas out of sled and dump in the truck.
since it's a new '14, ever thought of bringing it to the dealer? Definitely something wrong. I always thought Poo was pretty good with belt life. Mine has well over 1000 miles and still looks good.
You don't need a compressor to remove the helix. Remove clutch (pay attention to the shaft washers), and you will see helix on the back side. There are 4 screws that hold it in. Remove the 4 screws and twist the helix out. No worries, the spring won't be touched at this point. You'll see it once...
many moons ago, I had an '80 TXC340. Cut and tapered the tunnel, install the track backwards, try anything to make it go better in the mountains. The trip in, we would carry a 5 gal jerrycan of gas on the seat between my knees.
Then I purchased a real mtn machine, 91 sks500. Twin pipes, woohoo...
well here's my 2 bits...........knock on wood..........my snowchecked '13 600 has ran great since day 1. Now have over 1600 kms and have no regrets on my purchase. It spins the 155 track no problem. Yes, I agree the 8's have more power, but for me the 6 was a perfect fit. I ride with a lot of...
Re: $150 in FREE Motorfist gear*photo/video contest!
Well, I do have to say that my Motorfist Redline jacket keeps me warm and dry. Now all I need is some better boots.....;)
Can I ask where you guys are finding these boots? Was in Calgary last week, tried Cycle works, Ralphs and ??(can't remember name) and all had zero for boot selection regardless of brand. Not living in calgary, I even called around to plan my visit. It gets real frustrating after going to these...
Got a call from Martinmotor (south) in Edm this morning. Their latest intell says the Stompers2 have been shipped from the factory and should arrive in the next week or 2.
Called every dealer between Edm and Calgary. No luck on stompers.........Frick did they forget it's winter?
Not that I have to have that brand, but I do need boots and wanted to look at them. Problem #2, is Red Deer is very lacking when it comes to sled gear, so it's not like I can look at much...
