Well, definitely not a river trip, but if my wife and I survive the zombie apocalypse, we’re planning on giving our Hewescraft it’s first saltwater bath. We are hoping to spend two weeks on Vancouver Island this summer.
We’re planning a trip to Kinbasket and a two week trip to the west coast of Vancouver Island, specifically Ucluelet and Nootka Sound. I’m hoping there’s lots of salmon, ling cod, halibut.
He was a very good friend of mine and I’ll miss him dearly. I have great memories of quadding, hunting, sledding and boating with Dean. Rest In Peace my friend. [emoji22]
Mine have been great other than both digital counters got moisture in them and quit working. Scotty replaced them under warranty and when I was at the Edmonton boat show on Saturday, the Scotty rep gave me a couple more for spares. He just asked me if one fails, to mail it back to Scotty.
Captain estimated both my sailfish around 70 lbs.. He estimated the blue marlin at 11-12 feet long and approximately 250 lbs.. I only fought the marlin for the last 15 minutes when the first angler powered out after 50 minutes. I don’t know how he lasted that long.
