anyone run a PC5 map that wasn't for the dealer ECU reflash?

Taking the sled to the dealer tomorrow and getting the 08 flash done. I already loaded the 162 stoutner map and will see how this works. After the fix kit and the 157 map from dtr I was using 62 gram weights between 6-7000 feet at blue river last spring. Timbo- what weight do you think you'll...

anyone run a PC5 map that wasn't for the dealer ECU reflash?

Timbo, I have the same set up as you except for the head. I am using the updated head. You never had any problems with running rich with the stoutner map? I am not sure what map to run now. I just recieved a map from dtr Jim that is for the 2010 april reflash and slp pipe, but I will have to get...

anyone run a PC5 map that wasn't for the dealer ECU reflash?

Yeah from what I gather from the website they only have the 2 maps for the 800 rmk/dragons....I ran the 157 hp and the fix kit last april and was outclimbing stock 800 pro's! Jim at dynotech verified it would work and it did. I did send him an email about the stoutner map last night, guess I'll...

anyone run a PC5 map that wasn't for the dealer ECU reflash?

I am putting a slp single on my 09 800 rmk. I have a power commander 5 and am running a map from dynotech that was made for the first revised flash after the dealer update was done. I bought a used slp single in great shape and the fellow sent me a 162 hp stoutner map made for this setup but...

    Some hope for the 800CFI

I honed the cylinders, they were still in excellent shape. I never did anything to the stock head(the updated lower compression one) I had to file my rings, the end gap was too tight. The kit comes with the pistons, a cylinder base gasket, the crankcase to block shim, longer alignment dowels and...

Timbo- where did you get your head from? Did the dealers have to send them back to Polaris? I'm thinking with an 08 head, pc5 and a pipe these things will be stupid!:d

Timbo- the best price I found on a PC5 was from bayside performance out of vancouver. Bought it online for 340 bucks if I remember right.

I have not ran mine out home since blue river, so I am not sure how it will behave. With work and our snow dissappearing fast I think I am done now unfortunately for the season. Dynotech is from Newyork state and their elevation is about the same as Whitecourt, around 3000 feet. That being said...

    bad luck 2010 d8

The factory fuel mapping on these things is lean in the midrange. They have had reflash after reflash, nothing seems to work except putting on a power commander 5 and a map from either dynotech or slp which will richen them up. The factory polaris pistons have too much clearance to cylinder and...

    Some hope for the 800CFI

I am running a different titanium spring in the secondary, stock helix for the mountains. Running a power commander 5 with 156 hp map from dynotech. I have played with the map a little myself, leaning the top end a little more. Besides that its stock. The fix is dynoing another 5 hp from what I...

ok, got back from blue river last night. Awesome trip, awesome snow! Sled ran extremely hard and very well except on the trail up or when holding the throttle in the mid range the check engine light would flash and go into limp mode. I do have a power commander but with the higher compression...

no, I never did measure it. Was pressed for time to get it back together. I heard about 1/4 inch, but come to think of it now it might be a little more.

Got my engine back together yesterday with the fix kit. Engine is alot quiter, no ring noise like the oem pistons made. Very responsive, more snap on the bottom end. Only ran it about 20 minutes. Will report back after I put some real miles on it. So far so good!:d

Sounds good timbo. I am putting mine back together tuesday. You have no power commander? Should be interesting to see how mine goes when its done. I have a power commander and with the old oem pistons it would really scream.:d

    Some hope for the 800CFI

Got my "FIX" kit the other day. Tore the engine down today, good thing, found scoring on both pistons down near the bottom of the skirts on the intake side. I kept looking through the exhaust valve ports and so no scoring. Just so people are aware, all the wear could be on the intake side. Will...

Hey Timbo, how long did it take for you to get the kit once they shipped it? Just curious, PMS called me yesterday and said the are shipping it out this morning. Also, do the cylinders have to honed for the new pistons?
