We are getting well into spring riding and we know that there are some amazing photos out there of riding in the Valemount area and those beauties should not be wasted. So…………….. ITS CONTEST TIME!
Here’s how it will work:
Submit your pics to us via email to info@ridevalemount.com (be sure to...
Hey all
Just a quick update. More snow fell last night to add to the improving conditions. Thank you all for the kind comments on the trails. We ALWAYS try to produce the same result, ultimately mother nature has the final say. We are still in our full grooming program and our staging areas...
BC is a bit strange with this. You actually do not need insurance to ride the trail, BUT you do need insurance to unload in the parking lot... unload on the groomed trail and insurance is not a requirement.
Registration has always been mandatory.
Ride safe
Significant storm snow and strong to extreme winds have hit the areas recently with upwards of 60-80cms of snow and more snow looks to be on the way. Combine these factors and add in warmer temperatures and you have an elevated avalanche hazard.
There have been reports of several large...
To all our friends who may be planning on playing in the snow over the next few days. The sun has been out and the weather has been very cold. That pattern looks to continue on throughout the upcoming weekend. Looking for those patches of untouched and unaffected snow will be the key throughout...
Sorry all, we have a groomer down at Chappell Creek. The trail will not be able to be groomed until later this week. 90 riders on the trail since last groom and no trail passes are required of course. With these freezing conditions, the trail should still be acceptable.
Ride safe.
To all our friends who may be planning on playing in the snow over the next few days.
Its currently winter armageddon in the valley bottom today. Strong northerly winds and heavy snowfall. Pair that to the last few days of fresh snow and alpine winds and you have a drastically pissed off...
It's been a while since we have reached out to all of you and I felt it was due. It is certainly not a typical year and we have had to adjust our communication and marketing plan in order to be as neutral as possible to work within Covid boundaries and perceptions of the general public...
Happy Holidays everyone.
To the riders of Clemina today. I need to apologize. In our excitement to get it open, I completely missed opening up the upper parking lot. This was an oversight and I apologize. Our awesome plow crew will be out prior to opening tomorrow and will have the upper...
Allan was set and groomed today. We are hoping to have Chappell on line for Thursday. Please practice the #paysafe protocols in the attached image for a safe and smooth trailhead transaction.
Its also more important this year than ever to REMOVE ALL of your garbage from the cabins if you must...
We received some snow down low last night then it turned to rain again late in the evening by the looks of things. Blue River Highway Cam looks soggy as well. This not going to help access anywhere. The forecast also looks to have changed precip wise. At least it looks like the temps will...
This is the problem with the social media world right now. Why post your question here instead of contacting the Club? It would save us all a pile of headaches.
Please be kind, we all want to groom as bad as you do. We hope to begin soon, but if you do require a groomed trail, both our neighbors are currently doing so and that option is always on the table.
As soon as we can, with the bridge out at 4km and Trans Mountain full steep ahead on the access FSR, we need more snow to move to the side trail. Fingers crossed it is soon.
Sorry for the delay in replying. This is a tough one and honestly I am not sure on the legality. It's probably a "don't poke the bear scenario" the staging areas are government rec sites. As a club we certainly do not encourage it, but a parked unit is a parked unit, at the end of the day...
