We have some great news! As of tomorrow, Clemina Creek will be open and on our normal grooming schedule.
Our great grooming crew is getting the trail set today, and it will be drug again tomorrow for the final set. Please be prepared to purchase trail passes as of tomorrow Dec 10th.

The time we have all been waiting for!
DEEP snow and a couple groomed trails.
Allan and Chappell are groomed and ready for you all tomorrow. They will now be on our regular grooming schedule.
Clemina is delayed as we work with Ledcor and Trans Mountain to find a safe access solution. We all...
We are trying our hardest to get Allan and Chappell Creek groomed for you all by Friday so keep your fingers crossed and pls come prepared for Friday if all goes as planned.
EVERYONE wants us to groom, but temps are warm and there is heavy precip. These are not ideal conditions, so please be...
Negative. Freezing levels are still forecast for 1600m today although the precip is starting to fall as "snain" in the valley bottom so I am REALLY hoping that the temps cool off a little earlier than anticipated.
Sorry all, the intense lower valley rain and warm temps are not helping, but it is only Nov...
We are trying to get things ready for you all as soon as the conditions allow and it may be sooner than later so please stay tuned to our website. If you are planning on getting a seasons pass...
It's starting to look more like winter up in the high-country. The weekend forecast is calling for snow and we are all hoping if falls in heaps and piles so we can get this season started.
At this time, access to all areas is still basically non-existent (in our minds) as we need lower valley...
Good morning everyone.
Just a very quick update so there are no surprises.
The gate at the bottom of Allan Creek will remain closed until Nov 1 at least. A few folks got by and drove their trucks to the 3km junction when the trail crew was working up there. This is not the norm and we...
Lets getter started. Stoked to see all of you soon!
Last wheeled attempt to access the Allan Creek shelter site was denied today!
30cm of snow and deeper wind drifts at 1800m
As normal, the gate at the 3km junction will be closed in the early season to prevent ice up of the main trail, but...
It is the most important time of year for us here at VARDA. August brings about our annual sponsorship / fundraising drive.
It’s no longer a secret that Valemount holds some of the best all season outdoor recreation opportunities in British Columbia. From the snow, to the water, to the dirt...

Grooming is now finished for the season. Access to Allan and Chappell Creek riding areas is still quite good and the alpine snow has been fantastic, but the very low users numbers are suggesting it is time to stop operations.
Thank you all for choosing to RideValemount and support our our...
Good morning everyone, and happy Saturday.
Just a heads up there as of tomorrow, Sunday April 11th our grooming operations will cease for the year. The snow keeps falling in the alpine, but the user numbers have all but disappeared during the week. The alpine conditions are reported to be...
We regret to say that last night, (April 01) was the last grooming shift of the year for Clemina Creek.
The trail is deteriorating quickly in the lower portion leaving the staging area. It will still be completely passable throughout the weekend but you should expect to ride some bare...
Totally get it, but we will never notify that its ok to drive up the roads with the exception of Clemina. We will update on the Trans Mtn construction situation using the main FSR as soon as grooming is finished. That being said, trails are holding up well for now.
Ride safe.
Close Ron, but you mean the 4km marker just after the first bridge. It can be steep and icy for newer riders. It was an alternate route created to deal with a natural disaster that took out the main bridge.
The only option for this may be Clemina after grooming season is over but then you have no parking and will need to deal with major pipeline construction, not sure how that will work. We completely discourage driving up the Allan and Chappell roads as you simply destroy them and cost the club a...
