I generally run the Athabasca a lot every season. I've been doing it for years from the Pelican Rapids to Smith. My biggest concern is a hidden ice heave or jagged chunk sticking up. I've seen my fair share of over flow and know when to stick to the edges.

Did a 9hr round trip from Athabasca to Red Deer that day, towing a boat on the way home. I saw so many accidents happen in front of, and behind me it was unreal. Even towed a Ambulance out of a approach. Made it, but if was the craziest drive I've ever done....should have stayed home but way to...

A moto forum I frequent has a section called the Dumbgeon.....all threads the mods think are useless or mind numbingly painful go there(for example, all of LHFs)....it brings out all the Willys etc that want to go in there and prove their stupidity....works pretty good!
