I have to revise my last post. I did have a problem with one of my Baofengs. The camo green one. Kept losing it when I put it down out hunting. :rolleyes:

Between friends, family, and local club members I can count probably upwards of 50 Baofeng radios in use around here both winter and summer. All of them are the cheap UV5R's too. Not one failure. Yup, I'd use their beacon if they made one. I've had two of those from BCA that failed.

I absolutely loved my M1000, but it always took two of us to start that beast when it was cold. :D :D :D

Lets see. I roll my windows down by hand, unlock the door with a key, hose off my rubber floor mats, control my speed with my right foot, adjust my mirrors by hand, use my mirrors to back up......and I'm perfectly happy with that. Rarely use the AC, but I'll keep it. Can't buy a new truck off...

Before you go to all that trouble, try blowing an air hose in the exhaust outlet. Worked for mine last time it had these symptoms. Bugs love to crawl in there and make nests. I did that last instead of first. I have a spare board now.
