    Commodity surcharge

They've been making them for years. Denali decks. Lots of them around. Nothing wrong with them either, other than crappy wiring that's easy to fix for the cost savings.

    Happy birthday.......

The Moyie pub is open again this summer Doug. No kitchen yet, but a food truck in the parking lot. Haven't been there yet. Don't really do bars much any more. :sneaky:

Going to drop the writ of election on Sunday

Yup. Passed fixed election date legislation in 2007 too. Doesn't seem to make any difference though. Politicians apparently aren't required to follow the law if it doesn't suit their personal agenda. You try it you go to jail. "The 39th Canadian Parliament passed Bill C-16, An Act to Amend the...

Dream on. It'll never be repaid.

Why 75% of vehicles on roads may soon be zero-emission

Even if you strongly support electric vehicles.....3.5% of sales to 75% in 9 years.....who actually believes that can happen? I'll still be driving the truck I have now in 9 years.

The fast start to the summer fire season.

    No fires around Elkford! :common001: :common001: :common001:

Where are all of Canada’s used cars & trucks going?

They're going by my house 20 loads a day, 7 days a week.

    RIP Mike Wiegele

He worked tirelessly for what HE believed in. I don't have to agree with him to defend his right to do so. Other than one single exception in Ottawa, I would never wish death on those I disagree with, and I did strongly disagree with him..

And on the new ones the right (I think) rear takes out the DEF tank when it blows. Son's getting tired of replacing them.

Canada set to ban sale of fuel-powered cars & trucks by 2035

Sockboy's plastics ban will look after that.

    Cummins p4500i generator

My son was telling me about these. He works for Cummins in Sparwood. Pretty good price point. If I needed that much generator I'd be taking a hard look at them. I believe they're still manufactured in Indiana, but I could be wrong.

    Woke

The OP could try to search the title on Rumble. Not nearly the censorship over there. Since there's no title on the post I can't do it.

Trouble firing up old 85 Evinrude

I'd try cleaning the commutator before changing it. 20 years sitting can create all kinds of high resistance film deposit. Just had to do the same thing to one of my electric camper jack motors, and it only sat over the winter.

To the Castlegar rider on the CWRT who caused criminal damage.......

Yup it's unregulated. No argument there. Last time I was up Sitkum we had mountain bikers that had run down those trails ask us to give them a ride back up to their truck. Told them to pedal their arses back up there. :D Probably be less irritating to the neighbors if I just run my quad from...

Canada set to ban sale of fuel-powered cars & trucks by 2035

Not a chance in hell the infrastructure will be there to handle charging that many electric vehicles by 2035. On another note....after seeing the reported installation costs of these car charging stations, I almost wish I was still doing electrical contracting. There's some obscene money being...

To the Castlegar rider on the CWRT who caused criminal damage.......

Columbia Western Rail Trail. Multi use trail on the old rail grade from Castlegar to Christina Lake. Definately not designated for high speed traffic. And I always wondered about those residences at the bottom of Sitkum. Is there a suitable place to unload above them on that road? Been a few...

    Hot week ahead

My guess would be commercial activity, but then.....wouldn't that still be human caused? Maybe that's the inevitable "unknown".

    Hot week ahead

80 to 90% of wildfires in the US are human caused. Obviously not all campers, but human caused none the less. So far I've been unable to find any Canadian statistics. https://www.iii.org/fact-statistic/facts-statistics-wildfires Edit: Found it. 59% human caused in BC in 2020. Lower than the US...

It's more a physics thing. Not too hard to figure out. .433 x well depth + pressure switch setting = static head pressure. You could push 160psi poly to 250ft but you've eliminated any safety factor.
