They are a great machine! Make sure all the updates are done to it and no past motor work is done to it. Make sure the chain is tight on the chain case and I would recomend a dj clutch kit especially for the 08 but other than that there great. P.s. Around 3500- 4000 km I would do a top end...

My dad has a 08 summit x 800 163 with a dj clutch kit and the sled has over 3500 k on it and we were thinkin of doin a drop in kit this summer/fall. I was just wondering if you have to tweeking around with the clutching if we do have to do the drop in kit?

Try a skidoo dealer and ask for the 440 race seat. They had them on the o6 x and the 07 sleds there narrower and longer.
