As of March 30 parking was at 46 km and the trail had been freshly groomed. Slushy conditions mean the groom doesn't last long tho.

Good snow today in silver mines once we got above 2000m. Avy alley had some huge slides, some ran all the way to the bottom and filled the creek. Avy risk is high/extreme this weekend, be careful.

Rode silver mines yesterday, snow was very heavy all the way to the top. Gonna be concrete when it cools down again. Only fluffy snow we found was facing north, and there wasn't much. Pretty much spring riding conditions, everything had slid naturally. Trail was okay until the turnoff...
The "sledding area" is tiny now, they closed most of the tree area this year. 4 guys can pound what's left in an afternoon.

Lizard range was extreme on Monday... We rode a flat field and heard the castle ski resort shooting big avys down and saw some that ran full length.

Yeah I'd agree with that... The airbox on this was lasting 3 min or less between Clean outs and the bike was poaching sled tracks for the most part today

that's my head sticking out of the snow, I'm standing up more or less straight... I'm 6'2"
I will never say there was too much snow, but I will say I need a longer track, more horsepower and a big snorkel.

Gorman is not a good place to go unless you have avalanche training and are confident in your ability to read snow pack conditions.
