We have done both ways. Taken different vehicles for looks (as we end up staying in same hotel anyways) and all ridden in same rig. No hassles for us going west from Edmonton Area, doesn’t sound like anyone else is being hassled for that reason. Just don’t speed, don’t drink & drive as...
Just finished wrapping mine and will be dropping off at FedEx this weekend. How long did it take for some to get the replacement from time of shipping?
Your research does not have you being far off... you can never be close enough to the mountains! Appreciate the spot light and will definitely take you up on the wobbly pop tabs if we ever make our way down to ‘ Fernie’s ‘ area. Happy birthday to all from yesterday as well!!
Thanks everyone for the info. I appreciate it. Will definitely take this all into consideration once I get some time here over the Xmas break to actually change it. Lol
Well sounds like I ran the ACT for the diamond drive for all of last season and first 2 rides this year. Might as well dump it and fill with the cat chain lube that I have now. Does anyone have experience with running something off the shelf from Can Tire as a substitute where it can be bought...
Ok so what’s the deal? What type of oil should a guy be using in the pro climb chaincases? I have been to Argyll for a few seasons now and I went most recently to buy some extra oil to top up my chaincase from last weekend as the sled spent a fair bit of time upside down... after pouring in a...
You bring up a good point, we were at Renshaw last weekend and loading up through the front of our v nose. Guys beside us had pulled in close with a sled deck. they were taking bong rips in the truck and we had to wait until they were finished to drive our sleds in the trailer... Then they...
Agreed. We almost never pack booze for the ride. Keep it in the hotel for later.
If we go up early early season or late late season, and we know actual riding will be marginal, might bring 1 brew to sip on during lunch. But that’s all.
I don’t mind seeing cops out for this reason, so long as...
I didn’t suspect they would leave me behind, but I also don’t want to be ‘that guy’ relying on someone else to provide a mask for my dumbazz who needed to call them out to whatever our scenario might be in the first place. If they needed a medical grade, I would throw one into my pack and take...
Does it need to be a medical - grade mask? Serious question, if the OP knows. Because I always wear my balaclava under my helmet and keep a neck warmer in my pocket for the super cold days, both could be put on and pulled up over my mouth & nose.
Another suggestion. Have one buddy load up the rig with sleds trailer etc and then take a secondary commuter car (more fuel efficient). Helps stay distant during the long drive (especially from Sask) and shows you are putting in an effort if someone was to ever say something.
I know of some...
I got the email response saying for 100USD I can get an upgrade to 1 of 2 new pieps models. My beacon is like 4-5 years old, is that why they haven’t offered a replacement like some?? How old were the beacons that guys are getting free replacement offers?
I got the offer of 100USD as well a few days back. I had bought my beacon like 5 or 6 years ago too. No actual issue with the sliding lock but wanting up switch as a precaution. Anyone else have this old of a pieps and that’s why they aren’t offering a free upgrade like some?
Perhaps a civil war isn’t a good place to start, but what about a planned convoy for sledders from various parts of the province (IE group leaving from Calgary and group leaving from Edm) all travelling the 16 and 1 together headed for the hills. Showing just how much of a boost our province and...
