    A little shaking going on.

Yes, had just layed down on the bed, felt it rock back & fourth, I was alerted and then felt the bed rock again. Looked outside thought it must have been really windy but it was actually quite still which was odd. Went downstairs about 30 min later and asked the wife if she felt the house shake...

    Track support on sled deck

Yes watch your head but also I was not a fan of my 8’ deck on 6.5’ box as when it was sloppy roads and you needed into the box you were always getting dripped on by the road slop that would fall from the underside. I too have done the 2x4 on edge with a 3” track but only when I’m on a 7’ deck...

    Early Season Itch

I heard a rumor that some local folk were gunna take a drive up to Lucille this weekend and check out the situation... forecast has looked good in the area recently.. I would think 12-14" up top perhaps? Guess we will wait and see

    Allan Creek

Hopefully not! Otherwise everyone will know when they get a reload. Renshaw is funny that way, back in the valley even from the 27km turnoff to the cabin alpine area you can see a huge difference in snowfall

    Early Season Itch

I like how our years line up lol. Goes to show the snow fall each year makes or breaks it

    Early Season Itch

What we found (and maybe by complete fluke/chance) was that Allen creek seemed the least rocky of all the places we have ridden early season. Definitely had our fair share of carnage, but this normally happens in mid/late Nov for us when we are starting to get too much confidence for the...

Awesome, Would be fun to venture up that way one year, we haven't been farther West than McBride

    Early Season Itch

Nice, this seems to usually be the start for most riders. Although there has definitely been some low snow years while even mid-November you are treading lightly

    Early Season Itch

It’s definitely set in for me. Who else has it? Could be a short few weeks until the season starts! We’ve managed to ride in October 3 times in the past 5 years (Oct 29 2016, Oct 22 2017, Oct 25 2020). Post your photos/stories of your early season trips. Sale Oct 29 2016 Allen Creek Oct 22...

    Sled deck

How about putting back in though? I have an extension as well so it’s a little more awkward to do that ‘rock & bend’ manoeuvre to get the ramp back in. But I know what you’re talking about!

    Sled deck

X3. Only downside is the 2-piece ramp for 1 guy trying to use. I’m sure our video camera has caught some funny moments of me trying to put together / take apart by myself in the dark back alley before… with 2 people no issues. And I just spliced a 2 wire prong off my tail lights. Works well.

sledding May 24, whos been in Golden recently???

There’s been ‘travel restrictions’ in place since May of last year.... this winter was one if the busiest we’ve seen all over for people trying to enjoy the outdoors. Only thing I’d check is the highway closures, as depending on what day & time you travel at, might still need to detour through...

    Anyone still sledding?

Ha! I wish. Was first to turbo this year as far as I know, I suppose might be close to last tracks back to turbo? Although won’t be making it back in June this year. Will try for next year.

    2020-2021-Mcbride conditions and updates

Would anyone know if there is still access into horsey at this time of the season? How far a person can drive in the trail?

    20/21 Invermere and Area conditions

Yup, the foamies and Coleman Stove we’re still there as of yesterday, along with a Few either things like plates / cups / cutlery etc. Although yes I’d bring what you need. Cool spot tucked away, we tried looking for it and missed it the first time

    20/21 Invermere and Area conditions

We came down from Forster earlier today, first time there. drove to the 22.5km staging area near the bridge there. Only a few small gravely patches from there, access I bet is good for several more weeks, by then you might be up to the 27km lot. Was 5 trucks in total. Cloudy for the morning but...
