Sorry Barry, I've been busy over the xmass season!
Interesting to hear Darren's recommendation about keeping settings 3 & 4 close together. I might try this.
The toughest thing about installing an O2 sensor on the exhaust is getting the bung welded on. I'm not a welder but I had a friend of...
I've got two girls age 9 & 11 and we ride Atlas (Crowsnest Pass) a few times a year. They each ride their own Bravo. I'd recommend the CNP as a great place to learn as it's not that busy and trails are usually smooth. There are a few fields here and there a beginner can fart around in to get...
I rode Atlas with my Family last sat. and was surprised at how good the trails were. There was 'bout 1.5 ft beside the trail (we only got to about 1/2 way to the cabin before turning around).
The main road going north had been plowed so snow on it was skinny. I'm not sure if we were supposed...
I rode the trails out of Atlas on Sat. Trails were in decent shape, better than I expected. Not much snow off trail (1.5 ft). We stayed i ntha vally bottom so it may be deeper higher up...I haven't heard.
Anyone know whether the warm up shack at Etherington is unlocked? I'm hoping now that the gates are unlocked that the shack is as well. I was out there 'bout 3 weeks ago and it was locked. I've never seen it locked before.
I ran an o2 sensor on my stock apex before installing the charger and it read 11.3 almost everywhere. Very consistent. So I generally shoot for 11.5 everywhere but especially at full throttle. I may see 12.5 at mid-range. If I see high 12's I'm getting nervous. MPI recommends do not ride...
Yup, sounds like your definitely lean. I've got 6500kms on my Apex with just wear and tear and breakage. Is the blue light on the GEMS coming on? Check your boost line to the GEMS to make sure it's getting a good boost signal (no leaks or kinks or ice slugs). If you have it mounted on your...
If you don't have a air/fuel gauge I'd recommend the AEM. This will tell you if it's running out of fuel. Info is your friend. Are you getting lean pops? The more info you have about how your sled is running the better. I have not heard of stage I supercharger running out of fuel unless they...
Hit Fording pass on Sunday. Nice smooth trail in...cause there ain't much snow. Trail was good until we dropped into Baril valley then it thinned out and stayed thin. There were a few spots with a 1-1.5ft. Once we got over the pass it was better and the valley north of Mt Armstrong had 3ft...
Also would not recommend fording pass. You might consider bringing a power saw as well. There doesn't seem to have been much of a clean up this fall. I cut 3 trees of of raspberry, probably more out there.
Crowsnest Mtn resort has camp sites available for the winter. Lost Lemon is open all winter for camping. Both also have cabins for rent. I've camped both places and also camped at the Atlas staging area (no hookups).
I found it made the tail end of the skid feel softer and shorter. It lets the track flex a bit more on the skid. Downside is you need to replace bearings more often and if one of the bearings sh!ts the bed while your out then your day is done.
Look at it this way, it didn't cost you a dime to find out you don't want to sled with them in the future. Write 'em off and try a different group. I've been out $$ to find this out in the past. If your not going to give each other a hand, what's the point of riding together.
Ya, I've heard nothing but good things about Darren. I may drag my sled up there to have E&S install a head shim so I can stop running av gas. I've also thought about getting a Shock wave but I've got my clutching close. I had mine out today....it was nice to feel that pull again!
