I am installing a baker rear t-motion arm in my 162 winder this year, it wants to come over on me even with the rear shock locked out, just hoping this doesn't take away too much of the playfulness.
You are correct, I looked at the TKI setup but it doesn't seem like they have a kit for the winder and I like having the local dealer and reviews were good on the specialty kit so went that route
Me and a few buddies went with the specialty kit, zero issues after one season. I was worried about another belt to break but seemed like the guys running them on the 4 strokes haven't had issues. Belt tension is important, Rob at specialty told me that the only way you break a belt is from...
My belt looks new after a full season, I was skeptical too. My winder is tuned and the belt drive worked awesome. If it blows a belt its an easy swap on the hill anyway. You can have issues if your belt tension isn't adjusted correctly but same with a chain. 15lbs weight loss, almost zero...
Ya after seeing my buddies polaris screen and being able to track your buddies I am interested as well. $1000 seems pricey but can be worth every penny at times out in the backcountry.
Where are you hearing Polaris and Yami could be joining? Would love to see that motor in another chassis but don't think it would be that marketable for us guys out west as everyone needs the lightest sled possible now a days.
I think its the best thing I did to mine along with the older style clutches, I don't miss reverse at all but I have a drive through enclosed so loading/unloading is easy. It dropped at least 15lbs and just seems to spool up quicker now. Not cheap but worth it in my opinion
Electric might make sense to people for some stuff but it isn't taking over sledding. Imagine revy on a weekend, 100's of trucks charging, and a 1000 sleds charging over night. Not going to happen
I really want to see a group try to do a sled trip pulling an enclosed with an electric truck in the middle of winter. I argue about it all the time with some of my friends who think electric is the future. These friends obviously are not sledders and would have a hard time changing a tire on...
Hey guys, I am going to be posting my one wheel XR on kijiji, bought it brand new a couple months ago and it has 24 miles on it lol comes with some extras too. I thought I would give you guys first crack at it before posting as it will sell fast. As fun as it is I just don't ride it and to be...
I had a 3.5 ecoboost f-150, it towed better than most half tons for sure but sold it and got a diesel, My sled trailer is maybe 6500lbs all in and I hated towing it with the half ton. It was more the weight of the truck that was the issue and the fact that I always tow in the winter and the...
