She's cold out today!
Hopefully by Monday it should be a warm enough for us to get back out and enjoy the snow. There Is lots of fresh but we are still touching the odd thing. One more good storm and a person should feel safe dipping their skis.
Love my Boondocker sidekick on the 2smoke. It flat out works all the time. truthfully its kept me from buying a new sled this year because my 2016 with the sidekick is so good that I don't want to start over building a new set up, although when we put the kit on and geared the up the sled it...
Fernie is always a good choice there is so much riding here that you could spend years here and never scratch the surface. We have been teaching out of Fernie since 2008 and I still find that I'm riding new stashes of snow and different local locations every year. Just drive up to Elkford...
I think of a avi.bag as primary safety gear right up there with a first aid kit beacon prob and shovel and a small tarp. For me there is only one bag that I will run for a number of reasons. the bag has 2 airbags has a very reliable and simple trigger system. I find it easy to get a recharge but...
I have always said that riding a stock sled with just a can and some clutching is the way to go. We have 3 stock cats and one with a low boost turbo proclimb that has proven to be just as reliable as the stock sleds. Personally the turbo didnt change where the sled could go but sure makes...
All 3 of our work sleds have very little done to them.... take the easy weight of (Always) and all the foam out of the side panels, shorten long bolts... but past that ride it first, set up your suspension, then fix things that bother you. I can't tell you how many times we have given advice to...
It sounds like you need to get some miles on it and see what you think. For some people they need nothing all depends on riding style and expectations!
That sounds like something I've been saying to you since I met you Cal
Guys that run hot need to buy a different model of pant and jacket then guys that run cold... ask your dealer what jacket has more venting options and as odd as it sounds get a helmet that has good ventilation like the Klim F3 or F4. If your head stays cool you would be surprised how much...
mid aug. our phone starts ringing every year and from that point on we can't wait till the snow flys. plus all new Klim gear again this year helps get us excited as well.
But for whatever reason this year is different, The sleds are already set up, new rack cards, few new goodies to try out and...
A few weeks back one of our instructors had slipped and blew his knee out, we were on a free ride and he was nearly stopped! We were not in a place that is easy to get out from but we did have everything we needed to get him out without doing further harm to his knee. Sure it took us a few hours...
The rolling hills area is good for taking a first timer. Even if you stay close to the cabins, maybe ride the pipeline for a bit and get back to the truck without putting her into anything that looks dangerous, she will understand why you go to the mts.
Good luck and ride safe
dead on.... I have no issue with a rider having a few over the day but think that its best that we save it for when we are off the hill. Go to the hotel or the bar and have a good safe time...
You spend a tone of time on here as well and we all know that. But you always seem to get us snow with that dance you doo....
haven't seen it this year though!
We were talking with a group the other day about what social media riders use most, and which one gets them most stoked to ride. Funny thing is everyone seemed to have a different answer so now I'm curious, what do you use to get fired up or informed?
