countdown till ucp has majority government in alberta

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Maybe you could actually post something that adds value to this thread. Cutting spending to healthcare and education. Ralph cut 1/3 of the public sector and it took years to get back. Some say the province is still playing catch up trying to improve the...

countdown till ucp has majority government in alberta

I'd like to say this is a good thing, but I don't think it is. Im a conservative but Jason Kenney and some of his clan is a little to right wing for me. If they are successful I could see them cutting more then Ralph did and setting this province back more then Ralph did.

    Garage floor options

We had a bay at the firehall done in epoxy as the salt/slush dripping off the ambulance really messed up the concrete. Its been maybe 8 months and it hasn't held up. The epoxy is lifting, plus its a damn skating rink with the smallest amount of water on it. I was really wanting to do my garage...

Wholesale Sports is closing their doors

Not worth the trip. Discounts from 0-30%, most have 15-20. Huge line took an hour. I went to the Calgary location for a browse and only stuck around as the guy I was with wanted some stuff. Discount wasn't worth the wait.

    Leather Seat Conditioner

I use Meguirs Leather Care. I have also used the King Ranch leather stuff when I had a KR. Its pricey but really good, and smells amazing. You may be able to get it from a Ford dealer.

    Helmets

Not looking to get the young guys in trouble, but WOW. I stopped and chatted with the guy on the bike as he saw me pull over to snap the pictures. I have ridden bikes, quads and snowmobiles for 20years, and always wear a helmet. I know that they save lives due to what I have experienced in my...

    Frozen!

So I was approached by a coworker who is having some bad luck. They didn't get the boat winterized in a timely fashion last fall, and in Canada thats an issue, and now need some parts. I can see it needs manifolds and I will likely just have them buy a kit with risers and gaskets. It also blew...

    2017 boating pics and vids

Was at Ghost on May 5, water was super low just like expected. The north boat launch was as pictures, and the south was slightly more useable. I was on Sylvan on May 23, nobody on the lake being after the long weekend, and damn was it ever COLD!

Stories that never make the news???

I value news, and base a reporters credibility on spelling. When the title has a spelling errors (matial/martial) and another mistake in the first sentence (f!ighters/fighters) I typically stop reading.

Thank you to all volunteers picking up litter in ditches

I picked up stuff last year. Like Phat Cat said, lots of times and fast food. I wonder if its people actively throwing stuff out the window, or just stuff flying out of backs of trucks. I know there was lots of stuff that the wind had blown from a residential construction area onto the ditch...

    Boat Check

I'm with you, I stop every time. Its just a part of boating and actually quite easy if you have the last checks paperwork and your boat is clean.

WTS: 20x8.5 Wheels & Tires Fit GM Trucks -Chevy Tahoe Style Rims

So I have a handful of questions. 1. Do you have a picture of the actual rims for sale? 2. Are they used off your vehicle? 3. Tires included? 4. PRICE! 5. Why isn't this in the classifieds? 6. You have two posts on this site, are you a spammer?

Airport procedures for direct flight from Alberta to Mexico

I agree with many people on this thread. I always arrive early, 3 hours for international or at least 1.5 for domestic. I enjoy sitting in the Molson Brewhouse if flying domestic, or Chilis if flying international. Always fun to watch people sprinting to make a flight. I have also been put on...

    Us seniors getting the shaft

I won't comment on the refugee part of this thread. I will comment on the CPP part tho. I don't ever expect to receive CPP, or solely base my retirement on it. I'll work hard, put money into pension, RRSP, and TFSA so I can retire with money.

    Punta Cana

I was in Punta Cana a few years ago. We stayed at the Occidental Punta Cana. We did zip lining which was awesome. They put us in an old army truck thing and drove us thru town into the rural area and eventually up a goat trail to the zip line area. We also did a speedboat/catamaran tour. We...
