It is interesting to see how guys look at it. I have a full worked on 300xc. I way prefer the powerband for snow than the 4 stroke 450s. I am not running off the rev limiter at 12k all the time. That 300 powerband is 4 to 8k. But then I ride it hard. If I was putting on miles exploring I...
I have been thinking about this for a bit. I need some ideas for pushing some air in my enclosed. I have a gravity propane heater and one of the cordless Mr. Heater cordless when I really need to dry out the interior - but does not work well for gloves and boots.
I have just been using a...
It would be interesting. The only reason I did not build a new bike this year was the rumour that there would be a OEM snowbike this year - not a rebranded Sherco. And the new yz450fx is a great platform. But a Efi Banshee motor putting out about 90hp with a cvt clutch........ :)
We...
Solarguy. YOu have to send ssend somme pics o the interior of that set-up. I have drooled over an EarthRaomer, but never knew someone aactuall owned one!
Hunters is by far some of the best snowbiking terrain. Last time I was there I did not even make the first cabin by 3pm. And i left the parking lot at 9am. Never covered another track (except crossing the trails) the whole day.

I did the same thing a couple of years ago and would never do it again. Even worse depreciation than a larger sled. LOL
If you are going to put this time and effort - I would recommend starting with a 300 Tundra (if you can find one). Easier for kids to handle in deeper snow than a 120...
What size. 550 or 300? I have a 2006 shop manual for the 300 you can have. I have a 2007 manual for both. The manual is $5,500 and I will throw in the sled for free.
It's not the years, it the mileage........
Hey guys - need a bit of help. Is anyone going from Edmonton to Saskatoon in the next little while. A fellow S & Mer wants to buy my dually rims - but Greyhound is outrageous. Need a lift for 6 steel rims from here to Saskatoon.
I will be more than happy to contribute for beer and a good...
Ric:
My place. Snowbike + motocross track + groomer = FUN.
We also have all the trails in the back that my wife skis on.
I am mobile though. I can be bought with alcohol.

Works great. I have had the groomer for a year. It flat out works. It is made for doing x-country ski trails, but works fantastic for our place. I have 3 miles of trail in the trees that we use in the winter.
Did not know this thing would work so well. Got a decent set of Mattracks at a pretty good price. Sure easier than the air-cooled 550 pulling the groomer.
Now just need a windshield.
Phone the guys at Pemco in Kallispell. They are always out, and took me to some wicked terrain last year. Actually - it was the only place with snow last year.
Just bought a 2012 Ford Superduty - work truck special.
For all the towing I do I need a back-up camera. This one doesn't have it. Are there any decent ones that plug into the Ford wiring harness. Or am I just better to buy a decent stereo that has a camera feature?
