Ive got the same bike, same year, 2nd gear is notorious for going out on them. Is it popping out of 2nd or just not going in? Is it fine in the other gears?
And i have the same revo, with the same mods! The electric trucks can be a lot of fun too though, got a Slash 4x4 running a 3s lipo and that thing sure goes!
Ive had the bike out there the past 2 weekends, the roads are all rideable, and more trails are opening up fast. A lot of the snow is hard enough in the mornings to ride on top of. The only impassable trails for bikes are far into the trees

To get to Baldy, theres a road about 1km west of nordegg on hwy 11, go north on that road past Shunda Creek campground, take a right at the first fork, follow it maybe 4-5 km north til you get to the gates. Steep-ish old road with a coulple switchbacks up to the fire lookout
