I found that they don't make a decent winter tire in a 10 ply on a 17" rim - so I went with 18's and I'm running the centennial trail hogs 10 ply on my f350 studded - they aren't as good as a duratrac - but they last longer and they are cheaper - only thing I don't like is they can't get them...
In my opinion it was worth it - I have a 174 t3 and I find it made it alot more nimble in tight areas - combo'd with the post fwd its awesome - but ya it would've been less expensive if the gen 4 ball joints were the same as the t3's
Decided I was finally done buying 2-3 sets of ice storms this season - so I made a set out of the rsi dbl coil scratchers from royal distributing and the carbide tips off of the ice storms - just another custom thing I built for the dirty banana - goin for diesel mileage on these b*stands...
sorry I didn't take any pics was in a hurry to put em on - I took the fab shop the xm ball joint - the gen 4 ball joint and an old lower a- arm I had - and they machined the filler sleeve and expanded the sleeve with heat and installed it on the gen4 ball joint so it fits and runs in the stocker...
I found with with the tki - if you over tighten the upper sprocket it mushs the back side of the sprocket - which could cause that - is it the tensioner that's mangled?
Get the milwaukee 12v mini chainsaw - zip the useless top handle off with a grinder - get a couple batteries for it - throw it in the pelican box - good to go - bonfire ready
If they woulda just bored the 800 etec to an 850 and left the tra on it - kinda like how I shoulda kept runnin av gas and maybe I'd still have a mag side piston [emoji1787]
I was so close to rippin home and grabbing my kingcat - never leaving home without it - this trip I decided to ride in the 4 place with the boys - just f*kt me to f*ckin tears
Skis are definitely a bit tweaked now - yellowhead choppers is terrible - probably never doing renshaw again - very very little sledding resources in Mcbride and it's like pulling teeth to get any sense of urgency or help outta locals there - alot of hard earned lessons on this trip - snow was...
Me and another person out here tried him - no time - too busy - flat out hair back I guess - would rather pay the Uber ride honestly - it's been towed before - then it was almost out of commission the whole season due to off trail sizzle show insurance claim - can't be having that again
Chopper is flying my sled soon - my groups sleds are not setup for towing whatsoever and neither are the dudes I'm with - one had a dislocated shoulder on day 1 so bad Mcbride hospital had to put him out to pop it in - other 1 has pneumonia and a piled 2014 rmk mntk turbo - the one kid in my...
Yup got you by the short and curlys - only one is yellowhead choppers outta vale - been waiting at the sandman since Sat night - said they didn't have pilots - its been awesome watching 5 channels at the sandman fml
Sled is in wolverine at renshaw - 2 seasons ago it cost a buddy $1900 to get it from the bottom of the elevator which is past wolverine - we will see if it's covid pricing I guess
I feel like the melted mag side piston is because of the aux injector failing in some way leaning it out on that side - chopper is supposed to fly tomm - hopefully get it home and start figuring out the weakest link and rectify it
Problem is - there is an insane amount of money dumped into the sled and the payout wouldn't be close to enough - forced to eat the chopper ride I think - I think the boost injector failed on mag side
