If you don't mind me asking why are you going from a 3" back down to a 2.5"?

Hey guys I have a 2013 Summit XM 163 XP, I also have a line on a set of new rear shocks off 2014 X 163. My question is are the X shocks any better than the XP shocks? Is it worth it to change over?
And also what about the front shocks? Worth the change over? Thanks in advance for any hep
Taking my 13 xm 800 163 in for a service, already had any call-backs/upgrades done, I am getting the clutches cleaned, rails inspected, chain case oil changed etc, just a general service an inspection done. Any other things anybody can think of I should get done or get the dealer to look at...
I am definitely going to throw the 438 ramps in, probably leave the helix alone until I see how she pulls. I have played with clutching quite a bit so I know what I am looking for. First track change though. Lol
Thanks for the info guys. I looked on the BRP website and I should only have to change the small sprocket from a 19 to a 21 (the large chain sprocket is the same "51") and the chain is the same. Looks like I will be putting in a 3". With a little elbow grease of course.
Thanks for the reply. One more thing. Will the primary drive clutch and secondary driven clutch need to be swapped over as well? Or is this a non issue, or can they be swapped over?
Is it possible to take the drivers and driveshaft off of a 2015 T3 (163) and bolt onto/into my 2013 163XM Summit? Anybody else done this mod, any problems? Thanks ahead for any input.
Thanks for the info guys. My track has 1300 km's on it, none in the mountains, ridden by old guy back and forth to the fishing shack on the lake. Looking to get $1200 for the track and the drivers if anyone interested.
Take a cardboard box that will fit in your bag, rub the inside of the box with Vaseline, evenly arrange 1 dozen full pop cans in box, take spray foam insulation and spray in-between and around cans filling the box up. Let stand over night and then pull the cardboard off. Trim the foam down...
