DLC is a good option and can be done local if its a wear surface like a fork tube. If its for looks like a shock body or something kerakote is a good choice.
What are you looking to get done?
My understanding is that there is no one outside of Japan that does Kashima coating. Last time I checked anyone that offered it as a service sent your part away. Maybe thats changed???
My group ran into Turcotes group at Salmon last year. He took time to talk to anyone that rode by and had questions or a crush. Down to earth easy going, was nice to see.
This is 100% what they are doing, Freeland is giving incentives to big corporations to build rental properties (removing the gst on construction for one) but doing nothing to help the average family build a new house.
Also the ability for families to be able to sled/quad right from the door step is huge I think for year round rentals. I have been wanting to offer something like that for years out at my property and have just never got it past a dream.
I definitely look for a house rental over a hotel when I travel outside of my cabin in Valemount. Its nice to have a bigger area to relax after a day on the hill, being able to cook your own meals, and for me when I bring my wife and kids they have a bigger area to hangout in through out the...
Im glad I built when I did 4 years ago, hate to imagine what it would cost to build right now. Cant see it getting better though, the amount of new Canadians coming in looking for homes is insane.
You were talking to my buddy Ronnie, I can tell you that he rides his sled hard. If I was home I would do a test fitting for you as I have the Iceage spindles and uppers but Im gone for another few weeks.
For anyone else looking at high clearance a-arms buddy of mine has the Iceage spindles and Trenchers a-arms and doesn't have any issues with clearance.
Not all of us are as good as you. Most of us are just part time sledders and full time beer drinkers looking good at the trailer in the latest gear and brand new sled.
