The 2 that I've done were both spun roller lifters. Both intake. Both on cylinder 6.

Just a heads up. On the older ones with issues, it was usually due to the lifters being housed in PLASTIC (WTF) "guides". With engine heat, etc, the lifters would spin in those guides. Being roller lifters, this takes out a camshaft REALLY fast. Disabling DOD is not gonna do anything to combat...
