Me and my buddy run whips on our Banshee's. A lot safer, been a few close calls but the guys usually see the whip at the last second. Usually going over a hill is the worse or a curve.
I run four wheels on the back on my Pro to avoid this. My sleds always on its rear boogie wheels hitting trees, stumps and rocks the odd time, plus it's better rolling resistance. My 2c.
Rode an Axys from truck to trail booth at McBride without scratcher down like all my group and when I got there track was smoking, I think these sliders are garbage and this is what's causing issues.
