Unfortunatly some insurance companys dont offer the buy back option, all write offs go to auction.. If your other vehicles are with them it will be the same if they are written off also. Look for a new company.
Stock will go long in a cooled boost charge sled that is well set up that isn't hitting the rev limiter. On a non intercooled machine running higher boost will eat stock reeds fairly fast. Guys have been double stacking stockers (half cut one set and stack against another) with good results, no...
dual ring in a etec turbo.... hmmm top ring is so close to the top of the piston. if you detonate or run a bit lean you will pinch the ring and bye bye engine.. really why go away from stock? for 3 points in compression? imo not worth it. seen lots of dual ringers go down.
Lets just say when i go up top I never think twice about engine problems. Its clutching and drive line thats my issue. Been drug down at least ten times over broken clutches and broken drivers and driveshafts, and i service my clutches every two rides.
Yes boosted the whole time. kit came off my 2011 as soon as i got it.. Had some issues at the start but after it got sorted out been great ever since. i run 8 lbs boost 50- 50 premium av. Lots of oil. 40:1 in the tank and boosted oil pump. I believe its the oil that kept it going so long. On...
aerochargers are super reliable on xms. mega km on mine its the clutching and driveline that need the help. id buy one in a second if it was factory cuz im sure the dobec part would be revised.
Also if a guy has a bigger saw you can put on say, a 24 inch bar which helps on the long days because you dont have to hardly bend over when your bucking. A 16" bar on a small saw will still kill your body 4 hours into back to back cutting.
It is heavier for sure but does way more work faster. I also have a mid size 57ccxp professional saw, I only bring that one out when something goes wrong with the others. It revs like a sob and the hand numb takes about 5 min to kick in.
