Cypress, Swift Current area is not great right now, icy roads. But with the warm weather this week they should be good in a day or two.
Why are you going through Cypress?
I just found some aluminium square tubing that would slide inside the tubing on my ramp. Then pretty much just made a small 3 ft extension that looked the same as the ramp. Notched out the cross pieces and bolted them on, used some 3/8 plywood for slides. I pull out my ramp most of the way...
There is no snow left in all of Saskatchewan, highways are dry. Even when it did snow on Monday they were fine. I don't think you will have any bad roads along the way.
2 weeks. He worked his regular job and did a few hours each night. But a few thousand cheaper than the shops wanted. Runs good now, I was adding antifreeze every second day, never had to stop driving it though.
Did mine last summer, had 270,000 kms on it. Found a backyard guy that did it alot cheaper than any shop, but also took quite a bit longer. EGR blocked, but didn't have to remove any codes, unless he did it. Was an 04 LLY.
I would get the heads planed and checked, minor price to do while they...
Thanks. Sway bar coming off for sure, skid plate already installed at dealership from new, going to order frog skins and can once my other sleds sell. I will mostly be in prairies so the windshield is kinda nice to have. Should add some scratchers as well. Can't wait for the snow, wife can't...
Just picked up a 2012 Summit X 800 e-tec with 85 Miles on it. Pretty much new. Can't wait to try it out, will be a bit of a jump up from my 06 Summit 151. Needs a can, seems pretty quiet to me. Going to try it out first before I get one, I might like it this way.
I am on my second set, had 70,000 miles on my last ones. Love the tire, great on ice. I have an 04 Duramax 3500 and they will stop on ice and snow better than any tire I have ever had. Got a buddy to put them on his 2011 Tundra and he loves them as well.
Yeah it still runs pretty strong with lots of power. Just used to my old 01 summit that pretty much blew on me every winter. Will check the crank runout, will have to do some reading to see how.
Thanks
I have an 06 Summit X 151 with about 3500 miles on it, have had it for 4 years now. Sled is in mint shape but the engine is getting worn out and don't want to be stuck with a blown engine mid winter. What would be best, rebuild or just put in a new engine?
Other option is to sell and buy a...
good find. That just reminded me of something I forgot. Got liquid image goggles for Christmas, went out right away to try them out and for some reason the battery fell out without me noticing. Got a new battery and used them again a few weeks later. When I looked at the pictures on the...
I don't believe you can ship it across the border, the buyer has to be there in person when coming across. Do a search, there should be quite a few threads on it.
I have an 05 and and 06, pretty much the same sled. Have 2500 miles on the 05 and still runs great and looks mint. Have 3000 miles on the 06 with no issues at all.
I went with autometer cobalt series on the pillar, just boost and exhaust temp. Been 3 years and really love them.
Pretty sure this is the one, don't remember it being that much.
