I had the same problem with my 01 Summit. I was also having clutch issues and my motor would blow pistons every 4-500 miles. Well after the 3rd rebuild we sent out the crank to be tested. I was out just enough to cause enough vibration that I would melt recoils and screw up my clutches...
Like already stated, need more info and the other side of the story. Was this a reported agressive moose? Why would he have a hand gun that readily available? There was another sled following, maybe protecting his kid. Can't find much more info on the rest of the story. He could have easily...
I know it is illegal and have heard the safety thing before, makes sense. Just wondering why it is Ok in a place like Nevada. Go to Vegas and pretty much every vehicle has tinted windows, probably because of the heat. Is that a tint in the window and not added after? Just wondering.
Nobody has mentioned any food. I always carry a small army stove that will run on gas, some cup of soup and hot chocolate. Every once in a while I will stop and heat me up some hot chocolate just to make sure the stove works.
Need to get one of those Bevvy Blankets, never heard of them before.
I have called them before and traced something, they found it and got it going. I would call again and maybe you will get someone that is not a dick and will try to help you.
Twice now in the past year I have had a return line just pop off the top of the injector on my 04. You would probably notice it though because diesel pours out. No cost to fix. Hint, don't drop the retainer clip, took me 2 hours to find that dam thing.
I just did mine. Got a roll of black steel mesh from Home Depot, cut this to size and hot glued them on the inside. Seems to be holding up pretty good and looks nice.
One tip when using the hot glue. I had a torch set up and heated a small chisel to spread the glue around and make it look nicer.
i had a can like that on my son's sled, yeah it was stupid loud. Sold the sled last week to a 15 year old kid, he grinned from ear to ear when I started it. Way to loud for me.
Hey taz, just realized I know you. I am Gerry's buddy from SK, you came out to the cabin at Love a few years back with us. Seen his posts on facebook, sounds like you guys are having some good riding. I am Beaker on the other forum.
E-mail Kyle at powderkeg@live.ca, he will help you out. Bought one for my 06 and love it, can't believe how much will fit in it. Just transferred to my new to me 2012.
Should have been in South Sk last winter, I have never seen the roads so bad so many times. -30C to +1C in 24 hours more than once caused some crazy roads. #1 was closed a few times.
I was tired of climbing under the truck to put the plates and nuts on the bottom of the bolts. So I had a buddy of mine thread some 1/2" plate with small holes in the corners. Mounted my deck and srewed the plates from below, then drilled holes through my box and used small bolts to hold the...
That would be the way I'd go, Cypress is a bit south of #1 and can sometimes be quite a bit different driving conditions. Unless something drasitcally changes in the forecast you should be good all the way. As long as we don't get what happened last year.
