90% of the people out there with sled decks on 3/4 ton trucks are over their allowed GVW.....With a 1/2 ton its all but impossible to be legal with two sleds. The question really is: "are you willing to be over the manufacturers specified GVW?" Lots of people are today but this probably isn't...
This will be my second year running an Aerocharged '14 Freeride at 7-8lbs boost. Last season I ran 2/3 Fury 108 race gas to 1/3 94 premium. Riding in areas like McBride and Valemont is this overkill, and does it impact anything other than my wallet?
Thanks
I'm surprised no one has brought up a turbo yet.....that way you can BOTH still ride it until he is in his 50's or longer. Best bang for your buck for sure! :Hammer3:
If the sarcasm isn't apparent enough its above this. If you truly want your son to snowmobile in the mountains with you invest...
Payload is a misleading term, the thing that the DOT is concerned about is GVW. My truck is rated for 11,700lbs that is everything, passengers, fuel, cargo and hitch weight. on all the documents describing payload there will always be a disclaimer "*when properly equipped" so in the end it is up...
It won't look bad, handling will be ok, the diesel won't notice the extra weight performance wise but I can't see you being within your legal weight rating unless:
You have 1/4 tank of diesel left, sleds are pros with fuel tank nearly empty, truck and sleds have no snow or ice on them and the...
Steve, I might just try and join you on a snow bike trip, I happen to be finishing up a long track aluminum frame CR500 right now, I just have to figure out the cooling system and its ready to rock!
I have the Radiums and the Stomper IIs, both are awesome boots. I like the radiums for the removable liners as my feet sweat a lot when riding and I have an easier time drying them out overnight, once I started the day with slightly wet Stompers (I didn't plug in the boot dryer before passing...
Thanks, maybe if things work out I'll also run into you this winter as I frequent the Castlegar ---> Cranbrook area several times a winter when riding with family
Hello,
I am currently living in Ft Mac and looking for people that regularly ride the mountains of BC to share in the driving etc. Last year I made 5 trips to McBride towing an enclosed trailer by myself and had a great time riding with whatever group I could find there. If you are interested...
Long story short I am looking for one 7" Slydog Powder Hound ski bottom. The hinge on my trailer ramp door came loose last year and cut one my new powder hounds all the way through the keel about 8" from the front of the ski. Is there a good dealer in the Edmonton area that can help? With...
I have a 14 freeride and a 13 summit x both 154. For me the freeride is my preferred sled, I run it on the narrow front vs wide on the summit. The biggest downfall I found is the wide boards, when riding crappy snow with a thick crust over soft snow they definitely do get hung up easier than...
