Rode Silent yesterday...the most sleds I've seen there in a long time. Trail is good from the 35k ish parking to McMurdo bridge after that is a whoop fest :) Not a lot of parking or turn around room it was a big clusterf&$ck yesterday with trailers having nowhere to turn around. Snow was great...
Snowqueen= War wound Queen. That's very scary chit and it was inspiring to watch you handle it with such strength and determination. Even during the times when positive thinking was falling by the wayside and you were feeling the road to recovery wasn't even in sight, you reached out and got...
Sounds like it might be time for the local club to become a bit more proactive and welcome/generate new members? I've yet to see a snowmobile club meeting advertisement or anything to generate members. I know of people who are part of the club that get left out of the loop that would like to see...
LMAO...I sure hope I'm 'supposed' to go...hubby doesn't leave home without me, and it's usually me making him go riding. :D
I liked the first post before I realized the women weren't riding, they were going to the spa, oops. :p
Pretty much anywhere in the winter in the BC mountains you can...
Heading up to Forster in a couple hours...will let you know what we find. I was hoping to park closer than the parking lot...bummer. :p Looks a tad skinny from those pics, and it's such a rocky, creeky, tree stumpy place :o You should be able to get to the TW climb...there's a few ways around...
Quartz is almost your best option for beginners IMO. This time of year there could be more hazards like rocks or stumps lurking depending on snow depth...but it's easy for even a newbie to avoid those - few creeks might be open, especially near cabin valley...but you can see them if you're...
Hehehe. :devildancing:
I suggest you don't bring her here until your piggy bank is full ;) She'll be doing 'J hooks' around you all day long...followed by some tight doughnuts and finish up with mile long sidehill. :cheer2:Go Katie!
Dennis at Fusion Racing, who someone said owns this shop too, is great to deal with IMO. He's out of Chilliwack from the info I have for him. I suspect if he does own this shop too, he'd like to know about your experience with his staff.
Doo cans here. They tuck right under the seat. Used the Cat gas can straps with a D ring to attach for easy on/off to the sled. Other straps would work.
Nice to not mount a gas rack, did that the first year I had a Cat and all I had was a metal frame on my tunnel to wound myself on once my can...
If you can get a goggle bag that fits under your hood, that's def. the way to go. Had one come with the Cat a couple years ago and couldn't believe how useful it was. I won't not have one now, I rotate them through the day and never have a wet, foggy, frozen pair of goggles. I keep the third...
A local sled guide brought a heli into a remote riding area around here...and had Tim Hortons coffee delivered to the whole group. Cost about 100 bux a cup, but they said it was worth it for the experience of it all. The Tim Hortons staff found it pretty entertaining Haha. It really should have...
I'm with sledmamma, she's in! :D Too cute!
Not sure if you've noticed, but we do have girls her age in our movie, even younger ones too!
It's all about the ride, not your age or ability! I'll save her a spot in this year's movie...you gotta do the rest. Haha :)
