Haven't been in real recently, but know peeps who have. With the recent weather, it'll still be boney at the highest elevations but once you get in it should be decent. Been some snow here lately but not a ton and pretty good alpine winds so we're finding all alpine spots are fairly windblown...
If she's petite...you should try her in front if you haven't yet :) You can end up with a helmet to the crotch :o, but otherwise it's so much better for each person than having the passenger on the back. You need to stand mostly though as the driver. Tuck her in front tight to the bars and she...
Did a quick search...there's a few different kinds for sleds out there. We find for doubling, the squirrel position is the way to go..allows the 'driver' to stand up and maneuver the sled and your passenger doesn't have your butt in her face all day. :o lol...
I wonder if you could mount some of those handles that come on the touring sleds? They mount on the tunnel I think and seem like a good position for you arms etc. ?
Any chance you'd like to bring your wife out to Quartz Creek next weekend for newbie shred day? Maybe get her back on the horse...
 baggage?????? lol
Is the answer another quad??LOL I know when I'm baggage on the back it's a much harder ride on me than when I'm in the driver's seat. It's tough to bang around the back and gets tiring and hard on the body as you're not in control of the whoops and bumps and react...
No details yet, but I would expect it to be later this season...March/April maybe? Richelle's just started to toss the idea around, we'll sure help to make it happen for her :D
We have more Club members there and more female riders showing interest, once we have the support in areas we can...
Might be a skiff this week...and maybe a bit over the weekend by the looks of the forecast.
There's coverage up there...just might be lacking the deep pow unless it dumps this week. Same goes for everywhere around here right now.
Praying for snow and dancing this week...could help. :p
Trail was getting whooped up on Sunday. Snow was crappy...was pretty warm days over the weekend. Ridden out and hardpack in most places. Windswept up on the lake. Might be some snow around here this week.
Our experience is with ArcticFX, Spiralus and this year we have toyskinz...and I quite like all of them for different reasons. They are different from each other in the vinyl/clearcoat used, each company is different thickness. And designers, just like any artist, have their own unique styles...
Yuppers...hot dogger for the 12 and up Cats mounted just above the bend seems to work best from our experiences :) It's lower profile so it fits and sits pretty level there....our muff pots didn't work well any way we tried.
If you're riding the Radium area, there are lots of motel options for sure. Don't stay in Invermere, it's not worth the extra drive IMO. Hot pools in Radium too. The Park Inn is an older motel, as are lots in Radium, but they like snowmobilers and have good rates. If you want a hotel, the...
Funny how there's always snow in the avy chutes that haven't let go yet... and snow that hasn't been touched since the snow started falling....:ignore: no comment.
Hey KazDog, here's the poster for the Newbie Ride you're club is supporting the weekend you're in Elkford :)
Rhonda and Adele are the hosts for Elkford. Your members and anyone else attending can register on our website on our Events page. :D
Lmao...just for the record, I have all the gear and safety equipment. ;) haha I don't just roll with hair ties and chocolate milk :p
What are some other items that aren't givens...??
Hmmmmm. Hair ties prevent me from looking like a wild woman and having my hair sticking in my mouth all day. I seem to lose them through the day, so a stock is required in my pack.
Chocolate milk is a go-to staple of mine too.
And carabiners are a necessity for tethers IMO.
Very doubtful. And don't let them catch you on their groomed trails....they run tours, mainly beginner riders and they've been known to get a tad biotchy when you mess with their system. :/
So happy you found your dog :) Crappy about the rest, but I was certain there'd be an unhappy ending where the dog was concerned...really glad it wasn't. :D
