I would think you could make it work as long as the setback and the mounting height in the tunnel keeps the same geometry.
Here's what I would do.
First measure what your stock ride height is at that back of your skid plate/bellypan or opening to yout tunnel is. Next measure the same on a...
Probably just the service code that comes on saying it is time to have it serviced according to the hours programmed into the sled. Find out how many times it flashes, but usually if it goes back to the regular screen you are fine.
Rumor is a less complicated 800, 2 injector setup, not sure on piston setup if one ring or two (guessing two and what rumor also said) but in the 160 range, so a little more snort.
Here's a little video that polaris put out. If ya listen closely you will hear one of the engineers say 48 lbs...
A light ghost ride? Check out the testing Polaris has done to that cooler before saying that is a weak point. It is not your typical Cooler you are use too, if the sled got to the point you damaged this thing it would be unrideable even in a limp attempt. Think solid as your frame strength...
If they would have put the rush radiator on it would not have made a difference. At the polaris booth at Haydays they invited us to kick the crap out of it and it was solid, would take one hell of a hit to do damage to it. You would have wrecked a lot more before damaging that cooler.
I'll add my two cents on all this...
Yes, I have had my differences with people here as well on other sites, but if ya actually know me I am pretty civil and down to earth. Ya I still lurk here and help people from time to time, when I see someone needing help it is in my nature to lend a...
Get the rails for the extension, this will not mess up your approach angle and more importantly how the suspension rides. Move skid back = more ski pressure. Rails will be stronger and can be found for almost the same price.
Clutching and gearing should be close to the numbers that the M7 had...
Numbers dont mean anything without a good baseline tune, 1200 is nothing depending on where the sensor is located. What they really do is gives you readouts to a proper tune, for example, you get your jetting spot on by the color of your plugs and wash, record that number and that is your tune...
A bigger thing to watch out for besides having rubber on a wheel (not a big turn on for me) is the machining process itself. If the wheel's rubber chips, it creates edges like a poorly machined wheel, causing ice buildup.
I decided to go with the MMP kit, and couldn't be happier with their...
Ahhh, the ol' RXL, first sled I learned to ride on.
These things had a LOT of power, prob. one of the quicker sleds of its day, they screamed. They did have EFI, well sort of, it was a stolen concept of an EFI but the system had a lot of problems. Either you had a good one or a bad one, plain...
Not quite sure what you are running in midrnage, are you rich or lean?
If you have the box already to tune it, should be easy as changing a few numbers and testing agin till it is right.
Try running your sled at midrange where you are having the problems, and then quickly kill the sled while...
When I have more freetime, I am going to retrofit one of my old RC car engines to drive a blender. should be easy, mount a few spur gears from old cars, and connect the engine and blender to a base, and Boom! Have a nitro powered blender that runs at 35,000 RPM!
