Bought 2 cans for 2 different sleds few years apart. Both lost a chunk with NO CARE FROM DIAMOND S. They said they would fix for xxx$ plus shipping.. Never again!
I tape it with the hood installed. Look at your hood and you will see how snow gets in. Even the little ears on side of hood that turn upwards. Shock tower to shock tower. After i did this and prefiler on nose cone..silicone bumper holes i never had any slush in my boots again. Yeah its a pain...
What are you going to do then? Keep changing boot? It is what it is so I took the steps to correct it does not matter what I paid for the sled. And I solved the issue.
Im not taping the panels. I tape from side panel to side panel where the hood meets the body plastic. First I started with the hood just at the nose cone and checked during the ride and I could feel the slush still in the boots so I gradually tape further and further and I ended up at each side...
Ride alot in blower pow at -30c. Doo sucks at this blown boots every ride. To completely stop it. 1 prefilter on nose cone. 2 silicone where front bumper goes through nose. 3 no matter what you have to tape the hood from side panel to side panel the majority of snow gets in there. Go give a tiny...
PLPD is what covers your arse, you do not need collision as that only protects your sled, so that would be up to the driver. This is about protecting others property in the event of an accident. PLPD is not expensive and there is no excuse not to have it.
If you hurt someone and have no PLPD say...
Seriously who does not want insurance on their sled. Big truck big trailer no sled insurance sounds pretty dumb. One incident would ruin your life financially . My insurance is 350yr...whoopteedoo
Duct tape hood from side panel to side panel. Also screen on nose cone. We go out all day at very cold temps in real fine powder. Duct tape was what stopped the boots from filling up and splitting. Do sleds even get tested before release? G4 has not been my favorite
I don't know why anybody think cat is going to do something big. They have lost so many dealers and only had something like less than 800 snow checks in Canada.
