I think the biggest Gamechanger was that the snowmobile industry closed in on the aftermarket manufacturers and offered things like extrovert drivers, roller secondaries, better piping, ergos, risers, running boards... etc.

Update, I undid the rear springs andcompressed the rear skid. No way it would be close to rubbing. I am thinking it was rubbing on the linq removable snowfall part. It was in pretty bad shape at the end of the weekend and spot where it mounted was a bit bent.

I have a 2019 Summit, I switched out the 154 with a 165 track and rails.
I noticed on my last ride that the track seems to bee rubbing on the tunnel in 2 foot plus whoops while rolling over them.
I checked my track tension, and it seems fine, Just wondering if this is the nature of the beast...
I know there are a couple of threads on this subject, but nothing as of late.
I notice the the sleds run warm on the hard spring snow going up to the riding areas, just thinking of being prepared for the inevitable...

First of all, buy the sled model that will match your terrain. Obviously the 3" will not work.
I would look at all 3 brands, what they have, and choose from there... options, price, service warranty and more. Don't choose what the salesperson's choices are
