Nice work, while your doing maintenance replace your fuel filter on top of the oil tank. Go to napa auto parts and get the exact filter for the quater of the price. If you look at your stock filter it actually says wix on it. When you take it apart see if you can blow through it, and also tap it...

Fairly common to hear pressure when taking the cap off. But if fuel is shooting out I would suggest replacing the one way check valve on your fuel tank. It's on the top right hand side of the tank, easy thing to try, or check and see if the vent line is pinched
yes you do need to get it the tps reset, you need to set the throttle free play then makes sure your throttle opening percentage is at least 95% full open. You can replace the throttle cable but it won't be proper
