You can still get a pretty big trailer used thats half ton towable used. Hell the amount of F150s towing 35+ ft trailers now is silly. I wouldn't do it, not my idea of fun towing (reason why I have a diesel) but it can be done.
Tundra still gets my vote. Even more so if its being financed. At...
Id lean towards a gas truck with that. My diesel hates doing too many city runs. Also with 50k a year, the depreciation will be pretty steep, gas trucks are cheaper to start. Also diesel parts if something happens are ridiculous. I'd be leaning towards a 1500, I get she likes big trucks but...
Bit late on this one, but keep an eye out with all these shops closing. We picked up a 5HP Rolair 2 Stage for 550 bucks last year. Needed to be rewired but the thing is near new, came out of a fab shop in Calgary here.. Many people are right in saying the electric tools have come far, but there...
I had a similar issue when I first got my XM. Ended up being a cracked spark plug insulator. Check through em again, make sure they are indexed properly etc.
Other than that, change the fuel filter just to be sure. 12 bucks at Napa is an easy peace of mind. Stick to shell as other's have...
I would be extremely careful with just plugging in all the LED bars to the 12V in the plug. Depending on the length of cable/size of your LED bar you may be asking for a fire. You gotta remember those cables to the plug are typically only 14 gauge, (12 gauge at best) which really only leads you...
I would be replacing the gas sensor to error on the side of caution, and really its cheap safety. The thing you have to remember is a human can actually smell that mercaptan at an extremely low level, so you may still have a small leak but it just happened to not be enough to cause the alarm to...
Lots of times it has more to do with the stud won't seat properly (or stay in) due to the wearing of the compound around the holes. Not just the fact that they could have rocks in them. I am sure that they could still stud them, but a much greater amount would fall out, which tire shops wouldn't...
I like the Duratrac on my Titan, but went back to the Toyo after lack of sizes for my 2500. I run LT285/55/20, (stock being 265/60/20) but cant really go any bigger due to the need for me to fit into downtown parkades at work.
Will have to look closer at the CT's when the time comes!
Good to know others are finding the same with the Snowflake rating. I put Toyo AT2 Extreme's on and have found them better in snow/ice than others with the rating. That being said everyone seems to rave about the Toyo CT's, if only they weren't such a premium.
As many have said, CTI custom's. Ive had my ACL replaced, and they really do give a level of comfort when being wrong foot forward and sidehilling over hard frozen lines. Much better to get some that fit perfectly and were made for you then to have cheap ones that you are always having to...
Interested to see what you have found at the $28 bucks a month range. That seems extremely reasonable, not sure what these guys are thinking, if they reduced the rates just a bit they would gain a whole additional user group... Who only want it for safety purposes.
Thats pretty steep... Hell if you bought one without brakes etc, just the axle itself you could probably be in the 300 dollar range and just would have to swap them over. Seems like a lot for an "alignment".
Same situation for trailer tires. Had a shop try to get me to "balance/straighten" my...
Good Fast Cheap... Pick any 2.
That being said we went Fast and cheap. 12 bucks for 2 angle brackets and a piece of plywood and done.
Will work just fine till we get around to ducting the thing. PM me if you want a photo. Wont let me upload anything for some reason.
Id bet it would cost close to a new axle. Had a new 3500 lb one put on my enclosed last year from standens. Was about 380 bucks including all brakes etc.
Like lots are saying, At our plant most of our fleet trucks found the only tires that would last on the gravel were M-55's. That being said, you are doing right by using winter tires if you drive lots in the winter, they just don't do as well on ice as others.
Guess its not hard to see how he struggles to get people to fill the lodge with that attitude. But I do agree after riding out in Sicamous for a few years and getting to ride with some of the CKMP boys, theres many other people that I would be wanting to give my money to if I was new to the area...
Only one I've used was the Makita 36V one. Pretty decent for a lil electric one, had more torque than I was expecting coming from the 2 batteries. Did some "bucking" with it just for fun, made it through better then expected but really that is not the intended use for it. For trail maintenance...
Very sad but true.... Guy is an unbelievable rider as well, but after a couple of days of being around him we found everyone just being pissed at each other which has never happened in 6 years. He's one of those "why are you struggling with this?", doesn't stop to help anyone get unstuck etc...
I've had better luck with the Klim balaclava with the breath box built in than anything else. After starting to use it doesn't seem to matter what goggles I have.
