I spent more money on spare belts in one season than I've spent on chains in my whole life. Pros and cons to each, but those numbers are good enough for me right now.
Looks like the yellow tape has QR codes that will let people get a sneak peek of the 2025s. Have seen a couple other ambassadors post about it. They're supposed to "post"the tape, assuming out in the back country. Guess we'll see
Guys with phuk you money have planes or choppers. One of my bosses buddies has a Gulfstream, a pilot, and can fly it himself. Have gone on a few business trips with him. That's the way to travel I'll tell you what.
The m770 is 30-50% cheaper than any OEM track. Going to pick one up for my Turbo Doo. Hoping the extra weight isn't a huge factor. Kesterke runs them though, so they can't be that bad.
I didn't see it mentioned, but something to watch on the g5 is the frogskin over the clutch exhaust. It gets coated in belt dust and severely restricts air flow very quickly. This needs to get cleaned every few days for sure if you're a ripper.
I went to the Alpha demo ride in Valemount back in 2018 and watched everyone just putt around on them, pull some easy lines up the hill, and really not ride the sleds to their potential at all.
I think I'll sign up for this year and go beat the piss out of a catalyst for half an hour. Be a good...
That's one area the Alpha really shined. It's downhill j-hook ability is like no other. These new gen 5 turbos can turn back up hill pretty good too though.
That's hilarious especially because Polaris refuses to publish a number for the 9r. Just that it's 7% more power and up to 12% more torque than the 850 Patriot. And then they don't publish any figures for the 850.
The plastic boards might be 2lbs heavier each, resulting in the 4lb savings total with the optional hardcore boards.
Too bad there's no optional hardcore twin rail option as well
