I agree, but I think this is a limited timeline though. When mortgage trigger rates hit (which they are starting to now), high natural gas prices for this winters heating and inflation keeps rising, many people will opt to keep their older cars. It takes about 12-18 months for people to burn...
Be interesting to see what happens in the next year or so. Predictions are a total crapshoot I think at this point, its so variable that its really anyone's guess. If inventory comes back, maybe will see some dealers able to flog units off the floor and folks getting deals will force used...
Next time hit the brakes doing 120 downhill on a 10% grade and port your cab. Otherwise known as a hillbilly convertible. Remember to duck and take the 6 pack of Coors Banquet off the dash BEFORE you grab some whoa though.
No, that's not my opinion. Manufacturers are at fault for giving up their chip orders. Manufacturers could also cut pricing if they felt bad about reducing your riding season, but why would they when people are running through the door throwing money across the counter? Covid created...
The ones who gave up their chip allocations are the ones suffering. Some of the other industries are just taking advantage of consumers, i'll concede that. Some still have legit slow downs due to lack of labour........but mainly production runs are up. Medical equipment manufacturing is...
Have to disagree there. Etecs were / are notorious for fouling plugs in cold weather. They even released an ECM update for those 13-16 sleds I think. Lots of guys would keep a spare set on the dash heater on cold mornings. Can also shoot a propane torch up the exhaust and pre-heat it for a...
No this was the 91 octane since that's what we were discussing here and I didn't know if the 93 is now available at every place now. Anyway, its just food for thought. Yes we know it can contain "up to" 10% at any random times, so if folks are going to worry about it, just run the good stuff...
might know a guy that has one in the shop that blows underneath the lathe and milling machines.....keeps the feet nice and warm when standing there for long periods - he's not a snowflake though... LOL. Just need a 120V to 12V converter (aka 12V power supply) about $30 on Amazon. custom air...
Mixed up 50 mL of Shell premium fuel and 20 mL of water, got out maybe 1.5 mL of extra water (was about 21.5 mL from what I recovered) and about 48.5 mL of fuel. So there was a small amount of "something" in it, but it was nowhere near 10% - probably between 2-2.5% at most, accounting for a...
Food for thought - like Neil said, air inside is preheated so that helps the heater. If you do it this way, you (theoretically) create a negative pressure inside the trailer. This is why all heaters / furnaces in any habitated spaces require a fresh air intake for make up air. Trailers leak...
I will fill up tomorrow at Shell and grab some premium in a jerry can to test it for you. I need to know for the turbo as well. I've got a bunch of graduated lab hardware - easiest way to tell is actually to dump water into the fuel and measure the difference after it settles out (water bonds...
Big question is what you plan to use it for. If you plan to sleep in it all winter, then yes IMO do it. If not, wellm then its kinda that, is the effort worth it to keep the heat in for a longer period? IMO - not "night and day" but it will make a noticeable difference. I found mine just held...
Motor specs will come into play, cuz the new injectors shoot through the pistons. Longer stroke is more piston speed and harder on parts. 82 mm X 80 mm bore and stroke is basically the ski doo 850. 84 X 81 mm by the numbers is 897cc. You could lower it but too square and it'll have issues...
Hey buddy, unfortunately I haven't done much so not much to report. Work went nuts and then summer hit. Did a couple little things like mount the hood and clean up a few little items like bars and finished mounting the suspension, etc. Didn't get out for a ride that weekend, it was pouring...
Blue is probably the most realistic out of all of them, since the skis, seat, front bumper and rails didn't get colour changes like the others. Don't think I could bring myself to do that to my sled regardless......

Big hearted guy and very innovative sled builder. Thoughts go out to his family.
I think it just amounts to ultimately have much room you have. The enclosed units are a bit bigger but definitely the advantage of being all in one and easier plug and play I think. If you only have a little room you can customize the "kit" style more to fit into your space.
