Have used both but I use Rec Supply 95% of time and Royal only as a back-up.
Rec seems to be more service oriented, shipping over night if urgent or second day as a norm.
I've had Vintage race sleds shipped from Ontario. Canadian FW's. As others have noted, have shipper go to dealer and get a dealer sled crate.
Sometimes the seller will want an extra few bucks to do this.
Had no issues and price ranged from 450 to 550 depending on the size of the racer I had...
Looks like you had some good old racing fun.:d
It Unfortunate that your race is held the same Saturday as Wetaskiwin. There was a lot of heavy iron showed up there again this year from Alta & Sask. The old stuff still runs better than a lot of the new stuff.
I alot of guys wished they could...
That's a real unfortunate experience.
I've been going to Cycle Works for years for both my 2 quads & 3 sleds and have had nothing but an excellent experince and repor with them.
Did you discuss the issue directly with their Manager?
There's always 2 sides of a story.
Mike; I saw the 2 cameras on your sled at wetaskiwin and was wondering how well they would work with all the vibration etc.
Real good idea, LIKE IT!!:):d
Too bad Sunday was a wash, oh well, already looking forward to next year.
Does anyone know if they are going to inforce full ISI rules being that this is a SSRA sanctioned race. ie; do we have to fully enclose our clutches and run stab wheels to run our newer sleds ( 08 RMK's & 08 Dragons) in the improved stock classes.
The drags that day were great and thanks are due to the organizers. 176 races in 5 1/2 hours is being organized.
Don't give up on the older sleds though.
Since they didn't have 700 mod this year we end up running 800 mountain with our 1996 670 HO racers edge sled and won the final. Surprised a...

Pickings are slim for aftermarket here. Agree with Papajake, Recreation supply is quick overnight or 2nd day delivery. There prices are reasonable. :d
They are held at Reynolds Museum which is on the north side of Hyw 13 as you come into Wetaskiwin from the west.
Last 2 years the entry fees were $30.00 per class (20 entry + 10 Insurance).
Stock King & King of the Snow classes were 60 per class (50 +10).
They haven't posted costs on their...
If you guys are going to Alberta Beach and Wetaskiwin you may also want to put Lac La Biche on the March 1st weekend on your calendar. It's been good fun the last 2 years. (It's an SSRA sanctioned race)
If it doesn't burn fuel, it's not a sport:d
We've used a number of different brands over the years, then last November I bought a model 4929 - 24 ft Featherlite with 6ft V nose, 10000gvw Combo (Sled / Car) and have never been happier. Quality is excellent, and tows like a dream. Put 60,000 km on over the past year hauling sleds. Holds 4...
I'm from Calgary and found the site through the Revy club website. I've been a flatlander sledder & racer since a I was kid, now I'm trying to keep up to my own 19 year old kid (no fear) in the mountains. We collect vintage sleds, and ride Polaris RMK / Dragons in the hills.
