I have a 94 honda fourtrax, lately the starter stays engaged all the time, even with the key off and the on/off switch in the off position, I have to disconnect the battery to disengage the starter. I have changed the solenoid and the ignition switch tests good. does anyone know what would cause...

remove the small cover from the gear box at the drive end of the starter, then remove the top gear, it just pulls straight out. this will allow enough room to tilt the starter up and let it come out. its easier than i t sounds.
